This hotel offers comfortable basic accomodation in a central location near the bus and rail station. It is rather noisy and there was no warm water from the shower. No breakfast but tea and cofee supplied.Several places nearby offer breakfast more

Stayed here for the Wales v France game. Best atmosphere I have experienced for a rugby game, and very welcoming staff for the entire time. The room was exactly what they offered a great value room with staff who were happy to help with all our requests. Sadly no parking but with a carpark right next door this wasn't an... more

We stayed there for a football match at Cardiff Millenium stadium. Part of a nightclub, a restful night is not guaranteed, even if not for the noise, the springs come through the matress. The room was tiny, the smallest we've ever stayed in, with no breakfast, and no one to complain to the following morning. They charged us for two... more

The Walkabout Hotel has a few things going for it... 1) It's connected to the Walkabout Bar/Club which offers one of the best nights out in Newport, if you stay at the Hotel you get in free and you get to jump the queue - great! 2) It's one of two 'major' hotels in the town centre of Newport...the rest... more
