The rooms are spotless. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. HI Express are a bit expensive for what you get and the breakfast is basic. The TV remote didn't work in my room - the reception staff took offense when I asked for a discount on my bill because of it. Surely its their job to check all appliances work?! more

Only (slight) comment is that the place is somewhat difficult to find - signposts could be improved. Apart from that, very helpful and friendly reception staff, clean and quiet room. The Holiday Inn Express Newport offers good accommodation for far too much money. I don't understand why a room cost 140 Euro per night. You can get other HI Express hotels for 70-90 Euros.
