Stayed in the Manor Hse this time. Much better than main hotel - quieter and this building had much more character. Connected to main hotel via internal walk ways/escalators. Played 2010 course. We were collected by mini bus, driven down to club house. Driven to buggies/free practice area. Staff really helpful and friendly. Lockers and buggies had our names on.... More

Spent two nights here with friends. First impresion was very good. Friendly and very helpfull staff. We were able to change our room, after seeing we were on the top floor, looking down on the motorway. We paid for an upgrade, which was well worth it. This room was on a lower floor and we had a balcony over looking the front... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on business and was very happy wit the hotel and facilities. The rooms are comfortable and well kitted out. Reception and communal areas have loads of space and you feel like you are in a quality establishment. The gym and pool are both very nice the sauna and steam room area a little tired... More

This is a beautiful Hotel in a lovely setting. We went for our wedding anniversary and wanted a little bit of luxury and this is exactly what we got. The health facilities were beautiful and really relaxing. We had our evening meal in the olive tree which was busy but well organised. The food was fantastic, plenty to choose from... More

I was amazed at the size of this hotel. From the moment we arrived I could only compliment all the staff who contribute to running this amazing place. My husband played the Ryder cup course which has it's own club house whilst my friend and I used the spa facilities. Some of the areas weren't working and were looking a... More

Went for an afternoon tea with friends. We were seated and given the afternoon tea menu. We were all quite thirsty but it took some time for anyone to come to the table despite it not being very busy the put the hamper on the table and left then came back about 5 mins later with the lemonade which was... We have just spent the night here for my wife's birthday, we stayed in a deluxe family suite with a balcony and had dinner at the olive tree and also breakfast at the olive tree in the morning. We also ate lunch in Merlin's bar. Besides using the restaurants on site we only used the adventure golf and valet parking,... More

The Celtic Manor was the venue for our wedding in May. We have nothing other than extremely positive things to say about the resort and it's staff. From the friendly welcome on our arrival, to room upgrades, to wonderful golf, relaxing spa, gorgeous welsh breakfast, sizzling BBQ and the fact that the Manor rescued our wedding from the cold, wet... Exactly everything you want from a top hotel. Great staff, clean and modern rooms and food to die for! Easy to find, just off the M4, and only a 5 minute drive to a busy and developing City centre in Newport. Great for those who don't drive too with plenty of busses running from near the train station.

I frequently stay in a wider range of accommodation, and have been fortunate enough to stay in true five star hotels. The star rating relates to the facilities not the quality of the product but never the less it creates a vision of what you might expect. When you arrive you need to park in the complimentary car park (turn... More
