Stayed here on the 25/8/2014, first time at this establishment and have to say not really impressed. Rooms even though we had upgraded twice to a medium standard room could do with freshening up, also this is a no-smoking establishment except if you have a room with a balcony and your neighbours in the next room cause you to keep... We have now had three golf breaks a Celtic Manor and the Resort hotel never disappoints and dinner in the Olive Tree is always a pleasure. The golfing experience on both courses is spoilt by the distance of the buggy paths from the fairways meaning that you often have the wrong club in your hand and are faced with a... More

Hubby had a work mtg and I tagged along thinking oh god another flippin hotel. I was wowed from the moment we walked in, the it was something magical, well it was near christmas last year. There were fairylights everywhere.A vast reception area, clean, bright and welcoming after 4 hours of driving. We had a delux room overlooking the golf course.... More

We recently spent one night at the Celtic Manor but having heard a lot about the place we were rather disappointed by the reality. Upon arrival our car was parked promptly although we were shocked to learn of the £10 per night parking charge considering the mass of land the hotel is on, we then went to the check in... More

With regard to my "average" rating this is against the criteria of work travel. I was not staying to use the extensive golf facilities nor the spa, which I think are the main attractions at the Celtic Manor. Check-in took 15 minutes, but three desk staff worked through the large queue quickly. Cleanliness, services and facilities were satisfactory. My room... More

We visited the Celtic Manor Resort for six nights in early August (two adults and two teenage children) staying in a Deluxe Family Room at The Resort Hotel. The room was lovely, absolutely no faults, lots of space, quality furnishings, spotless marble bathroom and a balcony overlooking one of the golf courses. The hotel and resort is huge and looks... Recently stayed for a play and stay break. The weather was most inclement for the time of year and after booking in for our round of golf at the 2010 had coffee and watched others getting soaked. Enjoyed the brief tour of the locker rooms and were transported to the range to warm up before we set off. The course... More

Stayed here for a couple of days in August. Chose the Manor House because it offered a better deal although this can change from day to day. Check-in very simple, parking easy and free although you could end up some distance from your room. Room was large with a massive bed it had good tea/coffee making facilities and was reasonably... I was so looking forward to our weekend break and have come away with some mixed thoughts about this hotel First the positives 1. Check in for us was fast, but we got lucky. Half an hour later when we walked past there was a massive queue and only one girl at reception. This is not good. Hotel needs to... More
