me and my partner went to stay at the lodge a week ago...I have to say it's the worst place i've ever stayed. It certainly is stuck in Roman times. I felt like I had gone back in time as the interior was old, the beds were old, the carpets were minging, there were cracks in the ceiling, our room... more

what a rip off ! and we got this at a cheaper rate! or did we? the rooms are very dated, smelly, unclean and any type of furniture thrown in.i didn,t think a female would pick GREY nets for the windows!!!!. the food was awful, i think it was supposed to be chilli and rice, didn't stop for breakfast!! the... more

I had tickets for a concert in Cardiff but left it to late to get somewhere in Cardiff so had to settle for being outside the city. Do not stay in this hotel. For anyone going to events in Cardiff unable to get accomodation in the city itself stay in Bristol, novotel excellent wish we hadn't left it to move on to the Roman Lodge Hotel, what a dump. Train service from Bristol excellent after events at Millenium Stadium will know for next time. Well on arrival... more

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The room smelled of damp when we walked in and was cold. We had the misfortune to stay in this hotel for two nights Friday & Saturday when attending an event at Cardiff. The room we booked on the internet was described as 3 star & spacious with ensuite etc. The room we were given was so small my husband & I could not pass one another at the side or bottom... more

We stayed at the Roman Lodge as a base for touring Roman remains in south Wales. Our room was spacious, with excellent water pressure in the bathroom (not something we've experienced everywhere in the UK).
