Stayed a few times on a Saturday or Sunday night. Rooms are competitively priced and an ideal location. City center for local shops and attractions and across from train station if going for a night out in Cardiff quick train hop. Have never eaten here so cannot comment on that but rooms are clean and would stay again.

I will say I had been to the hotel in September 2014 .this year for four nights under no circumstances do not pay for your room until you are satisfied with the room . From the first day I was there i had to. Complain about the noise and the state of the room .the breakfast was not included in... More

Good place for a cheap drink, but whatever you do don't expect too much of the food-I was told that wetherspoons were trying to improve the quality. Unfortunately that was not my experience, the food was bland served on extra large plates and it looked like someone was employed to count out the chips. Staff at front of house are... More

At under £50 the room and facilities are excellent. I prefer the Queens to the Travelodge purely down to warmth of the staff and the quality rooms compared to Travelodge, sorry there it is. Just try it.

Stayed for a couple of nights at this city centre location. The check in process was quick and friendly, all hotel staff seemed to be efficient and were all polite but not all of the staff in the bar were as welcoming. Room was spacious and clean, containing all the basic items in most budget hotels and despite reading previous... More

Overnight stay to see a concert with my husband. Good welcome at the reception, and despite the rooms being above a busy pub they were very quiet. Spacious bedroom and bathroom in a regency style, very comfy, clean and warm, with good amenities. As with all Weatherspoons outlets you get great value for money. Excellent centre of town location, with... More

The hotel is not bad but has a couple of faults that are rather important. The lady on reception was very nice and welcoming. The general décor is ok, better than many. The rooms are large enough, the beds are comfortable and the bed linen and towels are of good quality. The bathroom was a fair size and there was... More

On checking in I was advised that the hotel was a Lloyds No 1 with late night entertainment, and there could be some noise. The receptionist was great, and told me I was at the back, quiet part of the hotel. It may have been a combination of the fine Otter ale I had in the bar, and a very... More
