Really lovely reception staff. Really helpful and friendly. Spacious rooms, very clean and well equipped. Really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely recommend. In a good location, plenty of bars around and not far from shopping complex.

A rabbit warren of rooms in an old town-centre inn / hotel, now a thriving Wetherspoons / Lloyds no 1 bar with hotel on 2nd floor. My double was tiny but well equipped with nice touches like free mineral water, biscuits, decent shower, and an ironing board! For £47.50 a night, very good, and the 'Spoons £2.99 breakfast is amazing... More

Stayed one night on business. Room fine and nice to have bottled water supplied. The bathroom was a little dark ( black paint!!) but shower was really good. Next door to Lloyds bar so food and drink readily available. 5 min walk to town and also to railway station. Parking is across the road in a small NCP Car Park... More

Well worth the money, great location. Downside was there was never any staff at reception so if we had enquires there was nobody there to ask and lift doesn't feel safe. Rooms are comfy and spacious, very clean to.

Lovely old hotel, rooms were clean and bed was comfy. All staff were helpful and friendly and it was perfectly locatedf for town. Wetherspoons restaurant next door which was good value as always. The only reason I have given 4 stars is that the room was quite noisy (people leaving clubs) until about 3am.That said I would still definately use... More

Really clean, very friendly staff what more could you want from a wetherspoons hotel except free beer, parking ok if you arrive after 6pm and make sure you leave before 8am if parking on the side streets

Stayed one night. Walked in and immediately was taken aback by the odour. Checked into my room and noticed a stain on the bedsheet. My feet got dirty in the room. I lay towels on the floor and over the stain on the bed. Worst hotel EVER!!! I generally am not too particular about where I stay but this was... More

Stayed just one night for my daughters graduation at Caerleon. Only couple minutes away from train/bus station so ideal location travelling from Bristol airport. Very good value for money. Booked a single room which was quite small but had everything contained in it ( fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board)and a large ensuite. Would definitely stay there again. Lady on desk... More

I had a single room. Bed was comfy, furniture and fittings were suitable (hair dryer possibly a bit small), bathroom was decent enough size, shower was hot and it was well lit. Tea and coffee were provided along with biscuits and bottled water (that for me was a bonus, no boiling of kettles, just to get a glass of water).... More

I am not a fan of Wetherspoons establishments at all but remember the bar from the 80s onwards when it was a 'real bar' so thought I would give the hotel a try. The room I stayed in was really nice. The location is handy for the station and city centre also but there was little in the way of... More
