The Hotel was helpful from the very beginning. They helped us with our bags (no elevator) to our room, made breakfast for us when we were late for breakfast and called a taxi for us each time we needed one. We had supper one night at the hotel and the cod dinner and the Beef and Ale pie were excellent.

The building looked lovely and inviting from the outside and the manageress was very nice. Our double room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. However, Marston's Inns need to update the bathroom(s) quickly as they are dated and very tired (Room 5). The room lacked basic facilities such as a hair dryer and glasses in the bathroom. Breakfast was... More

Upon arrival the staff were welcoming and showed us up to our room. The room was very spacious and had lovely furniture. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. Had a drink in the bar in the evening and the staff were lovely again, they are a credit to the hotel. Only issue is the walk... More

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The Cayo Arms is a great base as it is a short walk to the city centre. The bar stays open until 12 and you can access the rooms after this by a side entrance. The breakfast was nice and freshly cooked. We will definitely stay here again

Within a couple of moments of getting to my room I was desperate to leave I had booked a single room. It had a radiator that was either on or off ( via a spanner...) , but nothing in between. The window did not shut. The bathroom door opened onto the sink. It looked old, dirty and in desperate need... More

Read mixed reviews but had to book early as it was a rugby/football double-header! For the price £68 the room represented reasonable value for three people including breakfast; but it would still not be for everyone tastes. The room (No 2) was booked as a family room and had 2 singles and 1 double bed Pluses ; -the room was... More

The not so clean room where the dust has been gathering behind the wall hanging tv for for several years !!! Window... More

I'll start with the good points. First of all, the beds are AMAZING, so amazing that me and my friends said it was like sleeping on a cloud. The room we had was huge too, and clean, not immaculate, but more than acceptable. The BOGOF cocktails are a huge bonus too, they're delicious! I recommend the Jelly Baby cocktail. The... More
