So.....there was a two for one deal on grills on Monday night. Thought it could be a bargain. It was a bargain but not what we bargained for. Guy behind the bar was wet behind the ears. He had to write the order down after getting confused by our order (it was steak and chips, not sure what there was... More

We spent a weekend as a couple here. The price for the weekend with room for 2 nights and breakfast was quite good. However the room was dated and tired with ripped wallpaper. The view from the room at the back of the hotel was over the car park and the bed springs were very creaky. There was no room... More

Excellent B&B facilities. Rooms are clean and tidy and beds are comfortable. This is not a modern 5 star hotel so please don't arrive expecting a red carpet, etc. But you will get red carpet treatment from the staff. All were very helpful, polite, genuinely friendly and accommodating. Cant think of any negative comments. Would certainly return to the Cayo... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with my grandchildren in the family room. It was disgusting. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the shower was filthy. I will add some photos. Beds were not made after the first night, cups still in the room, towels not changed! You were locked upstairs and the door to get downstairs was not opened... More

This is a great place to stay if your looking to stay in and around Cardiff! Lovely rooms and fantastic service, we've stayed here a few times. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who was visiting for the rugby or cricket as it backs onto Sofia Gardens. My only gripe was the breakfast was a bit on the small size.

We recently stayed here as a family and yes the place is dated and the rooms are in need of refurbishment. But our room which was the family and also a double were clean tidy with clean bedding and towels. The staff during our visit were very friendly and if we asked for anything they went out of their way... More

We stayed for 1 night in the family room. On the up side they had at least made the beds and put toilet cleaner down the loo. Everything was grim. The room hadn't been hoovered, there was underwear in the bathroom from previous guests and there was dust/dirt on all the surfaces. Okay if you're a gang of blokes out... More

I am not sure if this review will assist anyone as I think the message has already been received, evidenced by us being the only ones eating here at 1pm on a Sunday. Food was edible but that's about it. Ciabatta was fairly stale. Chicken was small portion and did not taste great and chips were not cooked properly. It... More

Just outside the city centre, bonus of free parking. We stayed one night, car park is behind the hotel, the entrance is down a very small road to the left of the pub then turn right at the end. Pleasant area with restaurants and pubs very close. Friendly check-in, nice room with kettle, shower wash, TV etc. We walked everywhere... More

Very near centre of town. Friendly staff. Adequate room. Very good breakfast. Room No. 1 at the front of the building is right on the main road & therefore a little noisey. If you want to catch the bus into town, get Cardiff Bus, as it's loads cheaper than Stagecoach.
