We booked this last minute through laterooms.com. When we arrived, the lady at reception had no record of our booking and seemed to view us as an irritant. We were placed in a room at the back on the ground floor, and it was very small and dated. It was clean enough, the bed was a standard double, and the... More

This review is only based on the one night that we stayed here. The good bits: The check in office was open until 11 which was perfect for us because we arrived late and the man on reception was nice and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean and so was the bathroom, we were provided with things we needed... More

this hotel is a very comfortable and extremely lovely quaint place to stay. All staff are very friendly and very helpful. Free parking and free wifi. Great location for town too. A+++++ will definitely use again.

The hotel itself is more a B&B rather than a hotel. First reaction to reception of the hotel was how old fashioned it was and how there was a rather peculiar smell. The room itself however must be said to very clean & the bed comfortable. Its okay for a 1 night stay but I would hate to stay any... More

I'm writing this after my second visit to the hotel. Twice I have stayed in rooms for three people. It's a walk away from town, or a very cheap taxi, both male and female staff have been super SUPER lovely to us. (Three lads, mid twenties) The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, the appearance of the hotel is... More

We stayed on the 30th May 2015. First impressions were not brilliant. The hotel is tired and could do with a makeover. In our room the table lamp had no plug socket within reach and therefore useless. The en suit bathroom was adequate but again of poor standard and needing updating. The TV in our room was mounted on a... More

I have looked into your issues. I am sorry you felt so unhappy, the extension lead to the side lamp had been stolen thank you for bringing it to our attention. The tv was put in room that morning as a spare so a new tv is now in place. I have spoken to manager who was on duty regarding... More

Lovely old Victorian House in Cathedral Rd Pontcanna:Helpful friendly staff; free parking at the back. Although on a main road, the room we had was quiet, clean with more than adequate comfort. Beautiful traditionally decorated Breakfast Room and very decent cooked breakfast for £5 per head. Fantastic value for money. Only negative was that their wifi lease had expired so... More

I stayed here while visiting my daughter who's a student and was singing in a concert. I rang to check times for checking in and the owner invited me to call if I was held up to after 11pm and he'd keep reception open for me. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though fittings and electrics showed the... More

I stayed for a night whilst on business in Cardiff. The on-site parking to the rear is handy. The hotel interior is somewhat dated and looking a bit tired, but there is a grand dining room where breakfast is served on the first floor. Room was clean and of a decent size.

Rooms clean and decent size. Parking onsite is handy. Hotel is a bit tired and dated but fine for a short stay. Only thing wrong really was the lack of hot water for shower. Would stay again. Never had breakfast as checking out time was 10 am which is not the best with a hangover.
