We stayed in Park Plaza Cardiff the weekend of the Wales-Ireland rugby, and we could not have been happier. We arrived early evening and parked in the NCP car-park across the road (it was £12 extra for 24hrs....and this is my only gripe) Check-in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. We stayed on the third floor (executive room),... more

Myself and some friends stayed recently. The staff were wonderful, particulary at reception and in the restaurant. The rooms were very spacious. The beds were huge and extremely comfortable. The only downside to the rooms were that there were some areas that were dusty - so note to the housekeeper on that one! Apart from that, I cannot recommend this... more

Just spent 2 nights at the Park Plaza hotel Cardiff on a leisure trip. First class hotel. Excellent location, Everything immaculate, clean and contemporary. Room was perfect with everything we needed. Service excellent. NCP parking right opposite £12 for 24 hours with daily passouts available. Ask for a room on the back - better view. Free and fast wireless internet... more

My husband and I stayed in an executive room for 2 nights and would recommend the hotel and spa. The room was large, modern, clean and the bed was huge and ensuite bathroom modern and clean. Close to the shops and minutes from the castle. The pool and spa were clean and the breakfast was good, if perhaps a little... more

my partner i regularly dine at park plaza, and think its great value. excellent food , great location and very comfortable surroundings. located in the heart of the city, park plaza seems to be generally ignored by the majority of the local populace. the fact is its possible to eat here and spend no more than if you had gone... more

I stayed here for one night which catching up with friends playing at the CIA. The exterior of the hotel is ok but once into the lobby it's all very nice with big sofas and a very stylish look and feel. The reception area can get a bit busy as it is relatively small but the staff were both friendly... more

Wanted a romantic night away with my partner. Room not ready until 5pm so we had a drink in the bar. Drinks very expensive, staff seemed a bit unfriendly (might be because there was a rugby match on). Room was clean but a bit soulless - nothing too special, typical large hotel. Had to wait 45 minutes from ordering to... more

We stayed in a family suite in Park Plaza just afetr the New Year. The whole experience was wonderful with great service and really well furnished comfortable room. Our 2 grandchildren stayed with us ( 6 and 4) loved the pool and the bar snacks in the Laguna Bar for their tea. This is the 4th or 5th time we... more

Third stay here, so I do know when its good and when its not so good. Last month........not so good. Arrived at desk and was enticed by the "special offer" prominently displayed on the front desk. Upgrade to bigger room and included, unlimited movies, bath robes, slippers (to keep), chocs, wine and water all for an extra £30. Good deal... more

Attractive, spacious room; pool; good breakfast and a great location in the City centre close to the castle, shops and civic centre including the National Museum. Having had a poor experience eating out in the City centre, we've been told by locals that we should have had dinner in the hotel. more
