Myself and some friends stayed recently. The staff were wonderful, particulary at reception and in the restaurant. The rooms were very spacious. The beds were huge and extremely comfortable. The only downside to the rooms were that there were some areas that were dusty - so note to the housekeeper on that one! Apart from that, I cannot recommend this... more

Just spent 2 nights at the Park Plaza hotel Cardiff on a leisure trip. First class hotel. Excellent location, Everything immaculate, clean and contemporary. My husband and I stayed in an executive room for 2 nights and would recommend the hotel and spa. The room was large, modern, clean and the bed was huge and ensuite bathroom modern and clean. I stayed here for one night which catching up with friends playing at the CIA. The exterior of the hotel is ok but once into the lobby it's all very nice with big sofas and a very stylish look and feel. Third stay here, so I do know when its good and when its not so good. Last month........not so good. Arrived at desk and was enticed by the "special offer" prominently displayed on the front desk. Upgrade to bigger room and included, unlimited movies, bath robes, slippers (to keep), chocs, wine and water all for an extra £30. Good deal... more

Attractive, spacious room; pool; good breakfast and a great location in the City centre close to the castle, shops and civic centre including the National Museum. Having had a poor experience eating out in the City centre, we've been told by locals that we should have had dinner in the hotel. more
