This hotel is a real gem, the staff are fantastic, very helpful and were willing to show us around all the rooms. Bar Cwtch is just that, a big hug! The bathroom was fantastic, really big and modern looking whilst still retaining that special boutique feel. The decor is quirky and fun but still feels homely. Breakfast was fantasitc, cooked... more

We staid at the Jolyon's just one night before Easter, the room was tired, the ceiling had stains and the bathroom broken tiles and black silicone. In the morning we had the worst breakfast of our otherwise very successful 5 days tour of Wales. The term "Boutique Hotel", is very subjective, but we can guarantee that the owner concept is... more

I stayed in three separate rooms over three nights last week. I chose it because it's right across the plaza from the Millennium Theatre, where I was booked to see a show. I was supposed to be in room #7 for two nights, but was "upgraded" to the larger and more luxurious #1 for the first night, then returned a... more

I stay in a lot of hotels throughout Europe on business so when I decided to follow the Welsh leg of the World Rally Chamionship I wanted something a bit more individual and this great little Cardiff hotel certainly is. The staff were universally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, informative and accommodating. Not in a... more

We booked Jolyons expecting a small, quiet hotel offering good, efficient and personal service. (There are only six rooms after all!). Instead we found the manager on duty unhelpful, bordering on rude, when we had the temerity to request an early breakfast for Sunday morning. "Could we havesomething at 7 please as I'm running in the Cardiff half marathon?" The... more

We stayed on a little mid-week break, and found the hotel to be very welcoming, charming, and friendly. When we arrived, the staff were immediatly very friendly, and offered to help with luggage etc, and gave us all the information that we needed. They all went totally out of their way to help us. We stayed in room 2, which... more

Having recently stayed at Jolyons, while in Cardiff on business; I would like to warmly congratulate the hotel for an exceptionally relaxing stay for my wife and I. Having had a very stressful day trying to sort out our Cardiff office it was a relief to get back to my room in its ideal location of Cardiff bay. Not only... more

I don't normally bother to write a review but was tempted this time because of the amateur way in which guests are treated I arrived ariund 7pm and took ages to gain access as the only person on duty was manning the cellar bar. The room had no information about eg satellite tv, how to access wif fi (password needed).... more

We have just returned from a night at Jolyons Hotel. The hotel is a gem. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel to go to explore Mermaid Quay and the Marina. In the morning we enjoyed a lie in, the peace and tranquility of the hotel and its surroundings meant we almost... more

We are fussy people and have stayed in some swankey hotels. We thought it was great. Close to the bay with taxis outside. A well decorated room with a mix of contemporary and traditional and lovely bathroom. It was clean and all you could ask for. The owner was delightful, - friendly but not intrusive. He willingly helped with our... more
