An ideal location for train spotters as trains pass about every five minutes in and out of Cardiff Central on the main railway line located around 20 feet (6 metres) from the rooms at the rear of the hotel. No need to pull back net curtains etc as there aren't any giving you an uninterrupted view of train passengers and... more

Do you like FIRM ones ? ..... matresses of course ! Because that's what you are going to get, this is a functional hotel less than 5 mins walk from Cardiff city center, ( or 10 mins from the Millenium Stadium ---- I timed it ! ) Stayed here for one night after the last european U2 gig at the... more

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending the GB Speedway GP at the millenium stadium. The hotel is located about a 15 min walk from the stadium and about 10 mins from the city centre. The room was clean and tidy - typical Ibis. The only negative comment we have is that there was a noticeable lack of staff... more

This hotel gave us what we paid for - nothing more, nothing less. We stayed overnight following the Take That gig at the Millenium Stadium. The hotel is around a 5-10 minute walk from the stadium/railway station and just 5 mins from all the restaurants/bars. We paid £60 (breakfast not included) and felt that we got good value for money... more

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending the Take That concert I called the hotel to check the walking distance to the stadium and was told approx 7mins more like 25mins!!! which we were not impressed about on such a warm day, As Cardiff was really busy with the concert they charged room rate of £130.00 total rip... more

Recently went to visit family relations get-together in Cardiff and stayed at the IBIS. It was a refreshing change to have such pleasant staff, rooms were quiet and although we were staying for one night, the dinner was excellent with plenty to eat for breakfast too. Will come back again more

The location was better than we expected with everything within the reach. The Rooms though small & basic were clean. The linen was washed and well ironed. The girl who greeted us at the Reception, though she seemed to be from another country, was reasonably good in her English. The best part was her smile, that made us really feel... more

Good points: Great location Very clean and modern Cheap compared to others Friendly staff Internet on TV We could have a drink at 4 AM Bad points: With it's location, it can be a bit noisy on weekends Nothing else we could fault We'll have no hesitation in recomending this hotel to friends and family more

Recently stayed in the Ibis Cardiff city centre and will not be going back, the rooms are small and uninviting, the raised toilet/shower cubicle in tiny, whilst sitting on the toilet you've got one foot in the shower,i suppose you could kill 2 birds with one stone. But the biggest complaint is they fail to mention you can hear the trains go by,very annoying... more

We booked Ibis Cardiff for the New Year and was very much looking forward to our stay. Booked for two nights. Great location, very central, parking was 5-10minute walk. Staff friendly enough. Did not think much of room, average. One big problem we experenced was the heating! It was cold in room and -1 degrees outside. When we contacted the... more
