when you stay at a travel lodge, you generally know what you get. cheap comfortable accomodation. this was no exception. we stayed here for 1 night whilst in cardiff watching a concert. you could probably find a b and b closer to centre but we were happy with location. caught a taxi in and back which was about 7 pound.... more

Having stayed at the travelodge at Llanederyn before & having been previously satisfied, I could not believe the deterioration on our stay this time. Having checked into the lodge at 5pm we were given keys to rooms 2 & 3. The booking was made on the internet & the confirmation stated 'Twin' room. 4 ladies ended up sleeping in double... more

Stopped for one night following a rugby match. The Travelodge was everything that we needed it to be: a clean room with bed, bathroom and kettle (with tea / coffee supplies). There were only 2 towels (one bath, one hand) in the room but reception immediately supplied another of each on request. (Hair dryers available at reception). There was just... more

The Travelodge can be found on Circle Way East, just off the A48 (Eastern Avenue), and close to the junction with Bryn-y-nant. Sharing the cul-de-sac location is a Harvester restaurant. There is free parking outside the Travelodge, but is fairly limited (an estimate of around 15 spaces) due to the location and that the building itself is not that large;... more

£29 Bargain. Pros- Nice and quiet. Clean, light and spacious room (for a Travelodge) Harvester next door with good food and let me take my wine carafe back across to my room. comfortable bed Cons- A bit faded - needs an update Nowhere for breakfast - Harvester shut and no supermarket handy. Reception smelt of cigarette smoke - staff seem... more

I stayed in this Travelodge on a Friday night, and booked it because it was a couple of miles outside the city centre and had a carpark. I met friends there and we shared a family room on the ground floor, which smelt a bit musty but apparently no other rooms were available. It was however clean and well looked... more

Booked well in advance to secure £29 room night. Room allocated was very tired and desperately in need of refurbishment.Mattress was completely worn out - back aches by morning. Bathroom sorely in need of attention and dirty paintwork throughout. Whilst we only paid a budget price you would have expected a greater standard of cleanliness. Also the lightbulbs at the... more

Rooms adequate but very tired looking and bathroom badly in need of a good clean. Hotel seems to attract stag and hen parties so steer clear of it on Friday and Saturday nights unless you've got ear plugs. more

Upon our arrival in Cardiff we finally found the hotel after driving round in circles, due to the fact the hotel isn’t signposted. We entered the lodge where we waited to check-in. The check-in procedure seemed to take forever, I was amazed by this as with my job I stay in many hotels and have never waited such a long... more

I stayed at this hotel in December 2005. As with most travelodges I expected it to be of a similar standard but it was much more basic than that. There is a car park there but this is not big enough. When the hotel was full and if you arrive after about 6.30pm you may not be able to get... more
