Having stayed here a number of times I always find Keith & Norman extremely welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. All of my rooms have been very clean and comfortable. This time I had a newly decorated single room, with a fantastic shower. It is such great value for money - only 10mins from all the shops/stadium etc. No... more

I enjoyed my stay at the Courtfield. The place was a little harder to find than I might have imagined, and I found some things there a little...strange, shall we say. The bathroom was kind of a disappointment, but the room was huge and comfortable. A good experience in a nice city. more

Having stayed at the Courtfield Hotel on numerous occasions i can give nothing but praise for the hospitality i have recieved. From the moment you arrive one of the proprietors are there to welcome you in. The price represents excellent value for money, with the hotel offering clean and pleasant rooms. The decoration in the hotel is totally in keeping... more

I have stayed as a guest at the Courtfield Hotel for many years and have found it to be a warm, friendly, clean and well furbished hotel. The proprietors Norman and Keith make an enormous effort to make each and every guests stay a pleasant one. The house is of the victorian period and in my opinion they do their... more

Stayed for the Joe Calzaghe fight. Traditional Victorian B&B. Good value for the money. Very convenient for the Stadium and Cardiff City centre - about five minutes walk. Turned out to be a good idea as taxi's very scarce. We were with friends staying in other hotels who had to walk miles. Lots of interesting photos of old Cardiff in... more

The proprietors were extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was good and well served. However the rooms are in need of some modernisation and decoration but were comfortable and adequate for what we wanted. more

It was fine!

In all honesty we thought that, for the money, the hotel was fine and represented good value for money. I had read a couple of reviews and was a bit nervous but all was fine. We had Room no 17 and the door lock DID shut the door properly! The room was a little dated but was extremely clean and... more

Well where do i begin? My friend & i booked the Courtfield Hotel in January 2007 ready for visiting Cardiff's Millennium Stadium for the Rod Stewart concert 07/07/007. I periodically called the Hotel over the approaching months to confirm our stay. Upon arrival at the Hotel we checked in and paid in full cash £80 for the twin room with... more

Our one night stay in the Courtfield was long enough. It is two-star accommodation is what you expect..the gentleman who runs it is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was fine and room clean enough. As per the other review..it is a pretty dated B&B as far as decor goes. But, the big huge problem we had was our room.... more

Our night at this hotel in May 2004 proved a disappointing experience. Having no tripadvisor reviews to go by, we relied instead on the hotel's own website for information on facilities, etc. The web photos of the interior of the hotel were a strong selling point, and although corners could be found which reflected the photographic representation of the building,... more
