Stayed one night last Saturday at this lovely Victorian house very close to Sofia gardens, short walk to Cardiff Castle and town centre. Our room was very comfortable (especially the bed) and very clean. Keith and Norman were very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. There was a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, non greasy and top marks... More

I Came unannounced and I was given a room straight away, they really put themselves out as they were continuing redecorating as I was the only one at the hoter I was shown around the hotel where they have redecorated rooms to a high standard. Again it was a pleasant stay and as usual the breakfast was excellent

Em, it's fair to say that this is an unusual place. The decor is very dated, something from the early to mid. 70s I would imagine and it's original decor, not retro. It is basic in some ways but like a nursing home rather than a budget hotel. This having been said, the welcome is genuine and the hosts could not... More

The Courtfield Hotel is a special place, a Victorian townhouse oozing character, a mere stone's throw away from the centre of Cardiff in the handsome Pontcanna area. As newcomers to Cardiff, the owners have gave us a very warm welcome, which was a great introduction to the city. Keith was a great help to us, always willing and able to... More

Excellent little B&B, convenient location for the town centre, nothing too much trouble, hosts very welcoming and friendly. Have stayed on a few occasions, and it will be my first enquiry as and when I will want to stay in Cardiff.

This is certainly not a Hilton or Marriott but a little gem, yes it's quirky, yes it's and B and B. The service from booking to staying was excellent, the rooms were adequate and clean. This is a short stroll to the park and 10 mins to city centre, ideal for rugby and cricket. No there is no wifi, but... More
