Stayed for 3 nights with 2 friends while visiting Cardiff. This is an excellent value B&B in walking distance of city centre and Bute Park. Rooms and facilities are traditional and a bit dated but if value is what you are after you can't complain. Keith and Norman the hosts were very helpful and hospitable and nothing was too much... I have stayed at the Courtfilel Hotel on a few occasions and have always been very pleased with the service received by Keith and his partner. The hotel is a short walk away from the town centre and therefore does not require taxis unlkess you are in high heels of an evening! Keith always goes out of his way to... More

We stayed at the Courtfield for just one night while going to a football game at the nearby Cardiff City stadium. Keith was very helpful with our booking and when we arrived we found him just as hospitable in person. He gave us lots of info about getting around and local attractions. Unfortunately my personal view is that the rest... More

The Courtfield is situated about a mile from Cardiff station, and can be reached by any bus from stand E2 in the bus station - get off at the third stop in Cathedral Road. The imposing property is a little old-fashioned, but spotlessly clean. My room had no en-suite toilet, but did have a shower and washbasin. Breakfast was very... More

A quaint large Victorian house with care taken to keep the character and old-fashioned charm of the house. The hotel is very well situated for central Cardiff, and for the stadium and beautiful greenery around. Nothing can beat the genuine warmth and welcome of Keith and Norman. Room was lovely and decorated with thought. Breakfast (thank you Keith! lovely -... More

Stay here several times a year for the Rugby. Keith and Norman continue to offer a highly recommend service. Five minute walk to the City Centre. Best Fried Breakfast in Cardiff too..! The rates are very reasonable too (most places inflate their prices ridiculously on rugby weekends). Good base for exploring the Capital. Huw

Our party has now stayed at The Courtfield six times when attending the speedway Grand Prix. I would find it difficult to find a more convenient hotel for Cardiff centre at the price. Both Keith and Norman continue to provide a first class service and we are staying again next year.

Had to book a night at short notice - and all of the B and Bs on Cathedral Road seemed either full or wanted two nights. Found the Courtfield after looking at trip advisor - and was glad we did. It is old-fashioned but very comfortable and homely. Nothing corporate or pretentious here, just a warm welcome and genuine courtesy.... More
