After another brilliant stay at The Courtfield I was shocked to read some of the reviews on here. It is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in; nothing is too much trouble! I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I go to Cardiff. more

We enjoyed our recent visit. Friendly staff and great breakfast. We particularly like the fact that it is so convenient for the city centre. We were only 10 minutes walk from the stadium. more

B&B in converted Victorian town house. City centre location without city centre prices. Was ready for breakfast in the morning and was nt disappointed. My room was at the back of the hotel so no city noise to keep me awake at night. more

A warm and welcoming hotel. The owners are polite, helpfuland provide a hospitality tray of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. The cooked breakfast is freshly cooked and is beautifully presented and tasty. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the city centre and the owners readily arrange a taxi when requested. The owners clearly take an interest... more

Welcome place to stay in the city. Easy idyllic route into the centre. Friendly hosts who do their utmost to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. You get what you pay for, it is a cheap place to stay for people on a budget. If you want gold plated toilet seats and under carpet heating this is not where you... more

I have stayed here before, and this visit was every bit as enjoyable. The lovely ambience of the place is enhanced by the warm welcome and care from the proprieters Keith and Norman, and I have now come to look upon them more as friends than landlords! Althought the hotel has no bar (and I do like my evening tipple),... more

I booked this hotel for a weekend in cardiff after all other hotels were full, it was dirty, smelt stale and damp and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired decor and rooms need renovation. we booked for two nights but left after one. more

When you arrive you get the impression of faded old-world charm. Then you proceed upstairs and encounter an old grubby fire-door! Oh, dear! You open it and enter a narrow grotty corridor. Clean but something of the ilk of a 1950s Blackpool B&B. I stayed in a single room. It too was clean but a real old bodge-job. At some... more

The Courtfield Hotel was a perfect venue for our recent weekend. Clean and comfortable surroundings, an easy stroll from the city centre, and with great hosts in Keith and Norman, it was all we could ask for. It must have been full to capacity as it was the weekend of Wales v England in the rugby, as well as being... more
