We stayed one night at The Royal Hotel in a room which was supposed to be a Deluxe Double. The windows were so dirty you could not see out, the walls were stained, the toilet had a brown stain around the bowl and the bath tiles were black. The hotel is situated between two other bars making it a very... more

Stayed here to see Take That. Cardiff was full and we booked a twin bedded room weeks in advance, had to pay in advance so they knew that the hotel was booked to full capacity. upon arrival, no parking at all, and no help at all, reception is so unprofessional its a joke. Eventually found our room, a tiny triangular... more

This hotel is in a fantastic location - only 5 minutes from the stadium. The hotel room was £254 per night as it was a concert night. It was a deluxe room but far from it. A good view but that was all. No mini-bar, bath robes or ironing board. Breakfast was the worst experience ever - the room was... more

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend away. Location could not be any better for the bars, restaurants, Millenium Stadium and train station. It was not too noisy either considering we were right above the clubs. The bedroom was spacious and clean with tea, coffee etc..hairdryer in room, TV and plenty of wardrobe space. Check-in and out was... more

This hotel is located in the main street of Cardiff. Nice and helpfull staff. Room was clean and had large bath. Beside that breakfast was ok. No internet connection. Buzzer to main door. Doors closed 24/7. Small windows in the room. Great for one night. No more. more

Disappointing hotel, not at all what we were hoping for. The room was basic, and the hotel in general ws shabby. Stains on the carpets and bedlinen, only one towel in a double room and lightbulbs not working, not to mention the lift was out of order for virtually the whole of our stay. Pretty minor things, but it wasn't... more

In fairness, I was offered a no quibble refund for our one night stay at this hotel which I will certainly not visit again. I had called previous to booking, asking if any busy functions were on as I had a 2 day seminar and wanted to feel rested - they assured me it was quiet. On arrival, we find... more

After reading many mixed reviews on the hotel and hearing that they are currently in administration we were very apprehensive prior to our stay. The hotel was easy to find and the nearby NCP car park at £12 for 24hrs was close by. The general cleanliness of the hotel was good. The rooms were spacious, the beds were too hard... more

We booked this hotel as we were in Cardiff for the rugby, the hotel is well positioned for all the action, couldn't be closer to the bars or the stadium - maybe not a good thing if you are looking for peace and quiet but it didn't bother us. Check-in was OK, and the room was large, we were allocated... more

Been here before and it has been good. Now though, they think they can offer less of a service and get away with it somehow. Maybe they have not heard of the credit squeeze and the customer is now king. When I booked in it was deadly quiet. Although I paid a Govt rate for my room they told me... more

I was most disappointed to read of this guest’s poor experience when staying at the hotel as this is certainly not our normal standard of service, and I do not intend to make excuses for what was obviously a poor performance on our part. However I would be delighted for the reviewer to get in touch direct with me as...
