Stayed here overnight with my daughter while we visited the university nearby. Great location three minute walk from Cardiff central train station and right on top of lots of eateries and a large shopping centre. Lovely clean room, with ironing board, iron, safe and kettle all included.Breakfast was fantastic really fresh and cooked breakfast to order. Only complaint was our window wouldn't... More

Great location, near to almost every convenience when you're away from home as well as numerous landmark nearby such as Cardiff bay, central station, castle, university, park etc. Lovely front desk guys and loved the big pillows on the bed! Will visit again for sure.

Stayed here overnight with my wife. We had read the negative reviews first, but decided to give it a go as the price was right. This hotel is well situated in the center of Cardiff, with Train/Bus stn around the corner. All local bars & restaurants are within a few meters. The price was ideal for the standard of hotel... Stayed here for several weeks in Spring 2014. The building is amazing, and the history - especially the link with Captain Scott - is fantastic. The rooms are OK. I stayed on the higher floors, and found the beds, en-suite bathrooms and storage really good. The air vents are more questionable, since they allow uncontrolled noises from the (busy -... More

Good clean hotel comfortable beds friendly staff could not be more central in Cardiff . Only downside is no parking but that is nearly always the case with city centre hotels. Would definatly stay again

Me and my sister stayed here for a night out in Cardiff.. The hotel is self is in the perfect position for a night out on St Mary's Street as that is where the hotel is. Everything pub or club is within walking distance. The hotel is lovely and modern inside, the lay out is very weird but because the... More

The hotel is very centrally located, minutes from the Castle on the pedestrian walkway. Rooms were lovely and breakfast was good. My only problem was that it was difficult to drop off and pick up luggage since street was busy and parking is a little bit away. Hotel recommended the multistory parking but there is no in and out with... More

Stayed here during August 2014 with the Wife. Know Cardiff quite well, so knew the hotel was in the middle of town, but first time staying here. Hotel is a nice old building that has a bit of history and charm about it. Parked in a multistory over the road from the hotel, which is a bit old and smelly... More

Hotel was comfortable and very central to everything in the city centre and close to bus and train station. Only real criticism was that there were two entrances and the one we were directed to was off the mall up steps and then once inside down a flight of stairs to find a lift. There is another entrance off the... More
