Greeted by a friendly receptionist, she gave us a extension lead so we could do our makeup at a mirror as the plug sockets were very far away! Basic room with a weird smell! We thought it would be ok as it was only for a night out an we wouldn't be in it most of the night. Got back... More

Started terribly with a flood on our bathroom. However it was handled swiftly and in a timely manner. Still not the best first impression though. I found it a bit pricey since for the price of a room and considering the distance from the center (20 to 30 min by bus), it should include breakfast, to say the least. Anyway,... More

We booked this hotel for a cheap night and we were surprised. It was in an easy to find location, not too far from Cardiff city center and was near shops. The room was clean, comfortable and good value for money. We liked having our own front door as it was very convenient for my partner who smoked. We also... More

The carpark is very steep, and the gradient continues between the carpark, the reception/restaurant and the rooms (which is in a separate building) and this is not a suitable place for people with mobility problems unless they have a carer with very strong arms in my opinion. You could park right by reception, then move down to a space by... More

Needed a place to stay as was in Cardiff for work during the weekend. Friendly staff. Room was exactly like another Campanile hotel I was in. So, you know what you're getting. It is decent, nice, clean, good wifi. Will definitely come again. Recommended if you're looking for a comfortable place to say that is decently priced.

Booked here with my partner & 4year old for an overnight stay and it was average to say the best for it. We couldn't check in a moment before 2pm,the bathroom was very old and worn with stains, and there was continual noise during the night and the morning from what sounded like a boiler room/external air con unit or... From looking at the previous reviews, I was a little skeptical about booking the hotel, but I am glad we did. We were only looking for a clean and comfy place to lay our head for a couple of nights whilst we visited Cardiff, and that is exactly what we got. I was even pleasantly surprised that someone came in... More

I'm not sure many people stay here as their first choice. About 10 minutes outside Cardiff located on an industrial estate. The rooms are like an American motel or Crossroads for those that remember. 2 blocks of rooms with a central restaurant/bar and reception. Staff were frendly enough, the bar meal was ok, the prices are inexpensive. Room was basic.... More

This is the worst hotel room I have ever set foot in. I booked with my teenage son , so we had a twin room , we were given the ground floor , the room was next to an alleyway I can only describe as something off the shameless estate TV programme , the location was terrible, right at the... More

Hotel was perfectly adequate. Rooms were kept very clean. Next to main road but there are wind down metal shutters that DO block out the noise. Food not wonderful but there is a very good Toby Carvery 2 minutes away that does the best cooked breakfast.
