First impressions a bit off putting, carpark at the rear is poor and a bit of a slog getting the suitcase up the steps. Long creaking corridor and faded room with water stains down one wall. Hotel far exceeded my expectations. I usually stay in B&B's to save money and because they offer more character. But, I was late booking and reasonable B&B's were booked. Best location for a hotel in Cardiff - you can walk to shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, train station in minutes. Millenium Stadium is 2 minutes away. This is a perfectly servicable hotel, its not really what you expect of a four star hotel, travelodges however are perfectly servicable and are a damn sight cheaper. The location is amazing - directly opposite the castle and sightseeing bus tour stop - as well as being close too the shopping and restaurant area.
