I stay at this hotel about once per month on business and I would recommend it, you get a decent nights sleep, the rooms are good anf food ok. The frustrating thing about the place is the cost of WI fi, it should be free. £5 is extortionate. How they justify it God knows. C'mon guys wise up

Very comfortable 4 night stay. Room overlooking artificial lake , quiet and bed was very comfortable. Very clean and although the decor is a little dated it felt homely and comfortable like a favourite pair of slippers. The reception area was very attractive and welcoming at this Christmas time and creates a very warm, happy atmosphere. The staff are excellent... More

While this hotel is not smack in the middle of the town, there is a shopping complex just across the road with a MacDonalds and M&S. It is also very quiet as a result so that was nice. The room I had was on the ground floor and of average size, although it looked smaller due to the nice additions... More

We stayed in room 204 which was on the ground floor. The room was very spacious and nicely equipped. We would defiantly visit again. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as £13.99 per person seemed excessive but there are plenty of places around and about to eat.

Stayed two nights. This hotel is overrated as a 4star, but suited the purpose for the weekend rugby game. Hotel bus was available to take guests directly to the Millenium stadium, which was a good offer. Plus points were the use of the pool and Jacuzzi, etc. Food was acceptable, buffet breakfast reasonable choice also. Service from staff helpful as... More

We have stayed here many, many times over the years and have seen lots of changes since the days of the 'blue blankets'! We have stayed in many other Cardiff hotels too but recently we have chosen the Copthorne every time. The hotel may need updating in parts but the staff are always friendly and we find it very comfortable... More

The hotel needs a little cosmetic refreshment, but it really is a warm and welcoming place to stay. The location is great - just outside Cardiff and within a retail shopping area. The staff are also really friendly, helpful and efficient. We booked two rooms, but only one was ready but they offered to look after our bags and call... More

Staff great food great, but getting taty, room was dark and requires a lot of tlc and a lick of paint, not worth £115 a night we went up to the room put the light on and it was still dark, there was an iron provided which had been dropped as had a crack in it , and behind the... More
