I stayed at this hotel for one night with work and was looking forward to staying. The location is great for Cardiff area, not to far away from the city and close to the road networks , but not close enough to hear it. Check In was easy enough and so I went to my 3rd floor room. The room... More

Stayed here a couple of days before the NATO summit and the hotel seemed busy. On arrival there were 5 people in front of me and 1 receptionist. At no time was there an attempt to gain some extra help, even when 1 of the management team walked through, went behind the reception for some paperwork and walked off. This... More

My brother & his fiance were getting married at the nearby De Courceys Manor and they had booked out several rooms at the Copthorne for guests to stay.We booked for 2 nights and asked for a double room overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable with a nice view. The shower was hot and the... More

I booked the hotel via an online broker and got a decent room rate. I noticed in the hotel reception that the price I paid was half the advertised room rate. Nice surroundings with lots of wood everywhere gives this hotel a cosy feel. Rooms were very nice, comfy bed and nice quiet nights sleep. Wifi was a little erratic... More

My husband and I stayed here for a mini break in March. We prefer more modern hotels but this hotel is not of that style. It is very dated and in need of referbishment as it looks very tired. The beds were comfy and I did get a good nights sleep. I just felt as though I had gone back... More

Stayed here while in Cardiff, Wales....a fair way from the centre of the city but well worth it. Comfortable beds, great view, Fantastic food & wonderful staff & hospitality. There is even a spa facility to pamper yourself. Had an absolutely wonderful stay here an would do it again in a heart beat, probably not family orientated - but couples... More

Very dated, average breakfast but adequate and friendly enough for a stay if you don't plan to spend most of the time in the hotel as I did. Easy enough to get to with free parking and about 10 mins to Cardiff bay. Rooms were dated as States above but clean and spacious.

My partner and I stayed here for one night recently and we weren’t that impressed. When we arrived, the receptionist couldn’t find our booking and took 15 minutes to resolve. It turns out they had spelt my surname wrong by one letter, but didn’t think to check the other bookings that had not checked in yet. Not a great start.... More
