I booked this package for my wifes birthday. We paid £75.00 for package which included three course dinner, show, bed & breakfast, plus use of hotels leisure club facilities. The room was pleasant and very clean, it contained a fridge, trouser press, hairdryer with dressing table, fan (although some rooms are airconditioned), Tv with around 20 channels. The theatre dining starts at... more

I was down in Cardiff for a few days and didn't need to be particularly central, so this place was ideal for the money. The whole place is a bit shabby but the rooms were clean enough and the staff were friendly. I have two recommendations, the first being the one that several others have made, that you go to... more

Hotel is almost twenty years old and the guest rooms are really in need of a facelift as the decor is dated. However the rooms are comfortable but request a room overlooking the small lake otherwise you could be on the ground floor with a view of the car park! The public areas based around reception and the bar are... more

Very disappointed with the dining theatre experience all round. This was held downstairs on our visit and there was no waiter service for drinks and no bar so had to go to the bar in the lift one floor up. The food was not the best and not very organised service as we were not served together also not informed... more

I stayed with my wife for two days at this hotel, attending a conference in the hotel. Meeting rooms are excellent asis the food. Dinner in the Restaurant was the best I have ever tasted. I had the Rib eye steak and it was so good I cleaned the plate totally. My wife ordered off the Fine Dining menu and... more

They say first impressions count and our first impression of this hotel was NOT good. We booked a double but found we had two beds zipped together... hey ho shouldn't be a problem though... we thought. One half of the bed was considerably lower than the other and was so soft it was like trying to sleep on a squidgy... more

A group of 40 friends and family decided on a weekend away in Cardiff. The Hotel was selected because of it's ease of access, location and ample free carparking. I actually made all the arrangements for the group and found the reservations team helpful and professional to deal with. On arrival at the hotel some of my guests took advantage... more

Having booked a room with a cot over the internet, we went to Cardiff for the weekend to visit friends. We arrived a little after midday on Saturday, and checked in. No problems, the staff member who dealt with us was friendly and courteous. We had room 516 on the top floor, overlooking the "lake". We got to the room... more

The rooms were relatively nice, especially if you got a room at the back of the hotel facing the lake. The service in the restaurant was relatively good, and the food was really good. But, I wouldn't recommend here for a conference at all. The amount of food didn't cater for the numbers we had (the last ten/fifteen guests were... more
