Check in was very smooth and quick and we were given a room on the 10th floor which was very quiet bearing in mind it is in the city centre opposite quite a few bars. The public areas were very modern and chic and the bedroom was very comfy - we must have stayed in a refurbished room as it... more

The Cardiff Marriott may have been overshadowed over the last decade by the Hilton and, more recently, The St David's Hotel and the Park Plaza. But if you can find a room at a decent rate, it remains a compelling city centre option. Check-in was quick and painless, even though we arrived well before the 'official' check-in time of 3pm.... more

Location couldn't be better, minutes from the train station and the Millennium Stadium. Our room wasn't terribly clean (a bit dusty in places) and a bit dated but ok. The bar is lovely and the food is good. Overall I'd stay here again. more

Stayed here on business trip. Lovely pool and gym. Breakfast great. Fantastic location near to city centre and castle. Opposite is Las Iguanas restaurant, well worth a visit. Many restaurants and bars nearby though. Rooms clean, spacious and fairly luxurious for standard accommodation. Not cheap, but well worth the money. Hotel really clean. Parking is expensive at £12 per day... more

Recent refurbishment to the restaurant and bar has improved what was once a dated area that let the hotel down - what an improvement. Likewise, the pool and leisure facilities have been updated - another great improvement. Location is good for central Cardiff, with bars and restaurants nearby - try the Brewery Quarter just over the road. Secure car parking... more

Stayed for Bank Holiday weekend and was impressed by the quality and friendliness of service. Room was on the small size but well furnished, clean with all the general amenities. We had breakfast served two days running in our room - it was very good; and a good temperature. Bar service was good - but usual hotel prices; so quite... more

I can't praise the staff enough. They had to deal with a large party of all ages in the restaurant, which they did splendidly. Children who changed their minds about what they wanted to eat, and in which order, were seemingly no problem at all. And they got the right orders to the right people each time. I meant to... more

Stayed in the hotel in February as we had come to watch England VS Wales at the millenium stadium and meet the players and management the night before The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel had done a fantastic arrangement of chocolate and fruit in the room saying "Happy 40th Birthday Simon" which we thought was a lovely touch.... more

If arriving by car, download directions from the Hotel's website: some surrounding roads are closed; and, coupled with the One Way systems, this could see guests going round and round, growing more frustrated by the minute! And once you do reach the Hotel, the adjacent Car Park is down a steep slope, with gated access. Admittedly there are 3 Set... more
