We chose the Lincoln House on the strength of positive and recent reviews on this website and we were'nt disapointed. An elegant old townhouse, near the city (a nice walk through nearby Bute Park takes you right into the town centre), it had everything the exhausted rugby supporter could wish for and even the host - bless him - was... more

Upon arriving at this beautiful hotel, we were served strong Welsh tea & traditional cakes which totally re-energized us after our long flight to the UK & 3 hour bus ride to Cardiff! The Lincoln House is a perfect combination of personalized attention provided by a small hotel and the totally professional service of a larger one. We enjoyed the... more

First time in Cardiff, room was superb, much nicer than expected, I think the biggest in the hotel, four poster very nice. The breakfast was all you could want, and the desk help particularly Matthew, I think ,was very informative. The owner was very friendly and served us breakfast, nice to chat with him. Parking, bus service to St Fagans... more

Just the type of hotel that you need for a short stay whether on business or on leisure. Comfortable room. Efficient and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Handy location. My room was on the third floor and with no lift this got the heart going. But not at all a problem for someone tolerably fit! The Welsh Breakfast was very good... more

My brother and I stayed for a weekend get together in March. I usually stay at one of the larger central Cardiff hotels on business. The Lincoln House beats them hands down on comfort, service and value. OK it doesnt have a gym or evening restaurant, but what it does have is beautiful, individual furnishings.excellent breakfast, friendly and attentive staff,... more

We usually stay at more modern hotels but tried the Lincoln House on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. As it is located in two Victorian houses, the hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren, and there is no lift, which rules it out for the older or less mobile visitor, unless you can be sure of a ground... more

Hotel was ideally located for the purpose of our visit. It is also within walking distance of the shopping area and sites of interest, e.g., Cardiff Castle, Millenium Stadium etc. The building is Victorian but maintained to a high standard. Rooms were clean and comfortably furnished. Breakfast was simple but of good quality. Staff are friendly and helpful and made... more

My partner and I stayed at the Lincoln for two nights on a trip to Cardiff. Familiar with the city, we wanted to stay in Cathedral Rd, as it is an ideal base for getting around and far enough from the hustle and bustle. The town is merely a 10 min walk through Sophia gardens. A lovely, comfortable hotel and... more

My new wife and I stayed at the Lincol House Hotel on friday night and found it to be welcoming and friendly. Having travelled the world over the last 24 years I was greatly relieved to find such well appointed hotel that was the par of many I had found at considerably more expense overseas. The Hotel is well maintained... more
