If you're travelling to Cardiff the Hilton is the only choice. Location is absolutely perfect! The Castle is across the street, and if you're as lucky as I am you can see it from your room! National Museum is across the street, shopping district directly behind the hotel, walking distance to almost everything...and what you can't walk to..the bus runs... more

My partner and I stayed at this hotel last weekend and had a fabulous time. We were lucky enough to have a suite. My partner was able to get a booking through his work and got a considerable discount. We arrived about 3:30 and was able to check straight in. The suite was everything that we expected and more, LOTS... more

Stayed at the Hilton for three nights for a conference, the (standard) room was comfortable and the bathroom particularly nice with a large walk in shower. The staff were generally helpful though obviously stressed with the hotel being fully booked.Breakfast was good. As usual the internet was charged as an extra. Did not get a chance to try out the... more

It is definitely in need of updating, but nevertheless, room had everything you'd expect, great leisure facilities, service with a smile and views of the castle. Having spent a number of years in Cardiff, I can't think of a hotel with a better location close to the shops and the stadium/castle. My only grumble was that I couldn't find a... more

Stayed at Cardiff Hilton during Heineken Rugby Cup Final Weekend. Room (junior suite) spacious and well equipped. Have to echo previous comments about noise if room facing the road - triple glazing perhaps? Shower could have done with being 'hot' rather than 'very warm' but was a very good size. Warm welcome and staff were very good throughout the stay... more

When we checked in at 23:00, we were first put in a room for disabled which was not cleaned (...). We were then put in another room which had no towels for two persons. When asking about it, they told us to move to yet another room (Definitely not the thing you like when it is already 23:30). So we... more

Well its typical of Hilton's in the UK. They are not a patch on there relatives in the US and nor is the service. Rooms are ok but nothing special given the rate - they are large but how much space do you need. Given the older windows the hotel is subject to street noise, the lavatories take forever to... more

Had booked a cheap rate for a two-night stay about two months in advance. Hotel was easy to find after a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station. After a warm welcome by the reception staff we entered our room which was nicely furnished and facing a quiet backyard. Before leaving for dinner we asked the concierge about bus and train... more

Just returned from a two night break at the hotel. Arrival: Yes we were greeted warmly and were pleasantly surprised to be checked straight into our room at 11.30am albeit we had selected early check-in. Room: Very well appointed clean and tidy (room 723) on the executive floor with access to the executive lounge which I really cant remember booking,... more

If this hotel had no other attributes, its central position in the heart of Cardiff would be enough to recommend it as a worthwhile venue. From some of the rooms one can easily see Cardiff Castle, City Hall and the Museum & Art Gallery. The famous St David's Hall and shopping streets are also minutes away. There are regular buses... more
