Booked in for the weekend to this hotel as we had business in Cardiff. The rooms are lovely, the beds very comfortable and everything was very clean. The view was amazing and the balcony was quite scary standing on it seven floors up. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night and this was very impressive although quite... more

Ok. I was really looking forward to the experience of staying at this hotel. My friend and I had booked a "Pamper me" package (no longer avaliable) and expected a really special experience. Anyway, having been to Cardiff a number of times i found it quite easily and parked in their secure car park £8 for the stay whilst the... more

We arrived at the hotel at 7.30 on a Friday evening and were told that our room was being checked over by a supervisor, and that it would be ready in 3 mins. We were offered a complimentary coffee (I asked for a glass of wine - and received one!) at the bar whilst we were waiting. Whilst waiting the... more

Its been a number off years since I last visited Cardiff and the redeveloped area around the Bay is well worth a visit. This hotel is very contemporary and sits on its prominent position opposite the Welsh Assembly building and Mermaid Quay. Visually the ship-like appearance of this hotel is stunning especially when its all lit up at night and... more

Decided to spend our 1st wedding anniversary here. Check-in was good. Even when we confused the staff, by deciding to park our own vehicle (it wasn't too clean) and look at a sample menu before we decided to book dinner, they were very accommodating. The room was okay but not special. I couldn't really tell the difference between this hotel... more

Just enjoyed a weekend stay at the St David's and really enjoyed it. From pulling up outside where we were met by John ( the friendly doorman) who kindly checked whether our rooms were ready for us before we fetched our luggage from the car, we experienced nothing but good service. The desk staff were cheery, knowledgeable and helpful. A... more

I stayed at this hotel in May 2008, but was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and the balcony. I was impressed when I had a swift response from the General Manager inviting me back for a complimentary stay. Three months later I returned. These are my findings, second time around: The front-of-house staff were rather unprofessional in their... more

This was indeed 5 star luxury from the minute you leave your car with the consierge. The pool and spa facilities are excellent. The restaurant was extremely effecient and the food very good although portions reflect the cuisine. 2 scallops for £14 is pricey but they were delicious! The views over Cardiff Bay are stunning even when the weather is... more

We were treated to this hotel by our three children so that we could celibrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. The view from the room was wonderful, the concerge great but the housekeeping needs some attention. The toilet was slow to flush, there were cigarette buts on the veranda, the carpet was stained as was the one comfortable chair. more
