I recently stayed here with my partner for the weekend. It was very comfortable and homely, very welcoming owners. The food was brilliant and presented beautifully. The location is perfect t for exploring tountains and waterfall sightseeing. All in all very enjoyable stay and would go again!

We have stayed here 4 times in total and always look forward to coming. The host is a charming gentleman and the restaurant/bar has a really homely feel to it. And as for the food, this is where the Castle Coaching Inn scores highest. Top quality local produce, superbly prepared and presented, tasting fantastic, and at very reasonable prices for... More

Have stayed here several times now and although the place is a little shabby, as these very old buildings often are, it did look as though our room had been redone. It was very clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom and great wifi connection. The family are very friendly and we found we had all sorts of connections. The... More

Don't judge a book by its cover. Yes this isn't the prettiest, not even the cleanest or best rooms.. What it is though, is great value for money with a decent enough bed, attentive and responsive staff and great food. We were originally put in rm 2 but we requested a change to room 3.. This was a better room... More

Old hotel on the edge of the Brecon Beacons is a great place to stay for walking holidays in the surrounding hills. Hotel a bit tatty round the edges but clean and welcoming. Biggest attraction is the superb food in the restaurant, both in the evening and at breakfast and a well stocked bar. Owner is very friendly and helpful.... More

When you have a great stay you fell that the staff and owners treat you as guest. At the Castle you were treated as family. It is very rare that you receive this. To top it off the meals that were cooked for us were again as if we were family. We were there for a walking break and on the... More

We wanted a long week end to do some walking in the hills and not knowing South Wales at all we looked at the area we wanted to stay. The Castle fit the bill and so we booked it! We were not disappointed. The accommodation and warm welcome were just the start. Our room was very comfortable and a lovely... More

We arrived early afternoon, so me and my fiance sat in reception waiting for a room to be ready, which didn't take long at all, we were greeted with lovely service from the family that own this hotel, and had a good chat about where he stayed closer to Southampton when he went on a cruise, so we were all... We stayed overnight to break up our journey to South Wales from the north of England. What an excellent choice we made. Accommodation was spot on with a lovely bed and excellent bathroom. We had a lovely meal in the bar and the atmosphere in the pub was very friendly as we're all of the staff. Breakfast was superb and... More
