My daughter and son in law planned a very short notice wedding at this perfect venue. I cannot praise the staff enough, everything was wonderful, the staff were without exception fabulous in every way. My extra special thanks go to Laura and Jen who were happy, helpful, extremely hard working and a joy to have met. The food was delicious... More

Superb views towards Brecon Beacons. Friendly and helpful reception staff - nothing too much trouble. Bedroom spacious and airy with all necessary facilities. Breakfast 5 stars for taste and variety. Lovely large terrace with comfortable chairs and tables and down below next to the river benches and chairs to relax on river bank.

Booked a room to attend a retirement do. Was greeted by a friendly member of staff who was most helpful. Room was compact but nicely decorated. Loved the toiletries. Breakfast was just ok however the evening meal the previous evening was delicious. Well worth the charge for a standard room.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the town. It has its own car park, although it's quite small so you have to pick the right time to park. The views out the back are lovely - over the hills and mountains, but the rooms at the front overlook the car park. There seems to be a marked difference between the... More

The location of this hotel is clearly it's selling point, conveniently located within a five minute walk of the town centre. Parking at the hotel is ample and free. The hotel by the nature of its name is an old building which retains a great deal of charm with photographs showing a stay by Lloyd George in 1929. Having said... More

Spacious room, nice view, good bed, clean, nice staff, good breakfast, beautifull location. Need a car to get around and see the sights. Were there for a conference so transport was provided. Brecon Beacon Park is worth a visit.

Decided to treat myself and female friend to a night here after seeing reviews on this site. Wasn't disappointed. Went during a poor weather/visibility weekend in a Beacons View room so can't really say if money spent justified view. If it was clear, given I travel through Brecon town centre when I commute to Cardiff I sure it would be... More

On Saturday March 21, 2015 evening was the 60th birthday Party of my partner Tony Hill. The venue was perfect . Jen Parry, Roberto Calloni and all the staff went over and above the call of duty, they were amazing. The ballroom looked stunning, the food was delicious, it was the perfect evening from start to finish. If anyone is... More

We have wanted to stay here for years.we first visited Brecon in the early 1980's to visit family and always said we would one day stay at The Castle. We decided that as we could now afford it and were visiting family we would stay for the weekend. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as we had expected. The room was... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I’m afraid there is very little we can do about the bathroom window as the Hotel is a listed building within the National Park. We are glad you enjoyed your meal at the bar. Unfortunately the day you have booked was the final day of the Six Nations Rugby Tournament... More

We stayed here for a couple of night's for my cousins wedding which was about 3 miles down the road. The room was comfortable, though the flooring was uneven which meant the water bottle slid of the side table and. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up! The rooms were clean, ours was on the small side (though we did go for... More
