Stayed at Brecon castle with my girlfriend as we needed a bit of a getaway from the city. Upon arrival i was tasked with the removal of many spiders dotted around the ceiling (about 7-8) however the room itslef was lovely, very big, great views and very spacious and comfortable bed. Big tv and Wifi is provided free from the... More

The Castle Hotel is current,y undergoing some redecoration but what a lovely little hotel with loads of character. Set with great views of the Black Mountains and the River Usk you couldn't wish for a warmer atmosphere. The staff were friendly and effective that made the stay even more enjoyable. A lovely hotel very reasonably priced for the level of... More

The drive from Birmingham to Brecon Wales was quite beautiful. The Castle Hotel is actually built right by parts of the castle wall and tower. The views are stunning! The hotel is old but has a feeling of grandeur. The hotel bar and restaurant was filled with a lot of people being served food and drinks. We were given a... More

We regularly visit the Castle for food, and it performs to a high standard every time. Roberto is great and we can't really think of a negative. We will certainly continuing our evenings out to the Castle of Brecon. Thank you

Hotel chosen for it's location as we were attending a wedding about 4 miles away. The free parking and free wi-fi helped make my decision easy over other hotels in Brecon. Warm welcome on arrival at reception and all the staff we met were very friendly. It is a very short walk into town where we found an assortment of... More

We spent 5 nights at The Castle over New Year and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is stunning, with panoramic views of the hills and river, and only a few steps from the town of Brecon. The staff and owners were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in The Bistro and there is plenty of choice. We also had... More

Had a buffet get together for Christmas and overall was disappointed. We booked our party of 20 several weeks before the date of the party, and repeatedly asked if we had to pay a deposit. Was told no, until the week before, when suddenly a £5 deposit was required. This wouldn't have been an issue if told when booked, however... More

We stayed here for a memorial service in the Cathedral which is just a few minutes’ walk away. The setting is stunning – worth getting a ‘Beacons View’ room if you can, as the views are spectacular over the hills, river, fields and town – Penyfan was white with frost or snow! The hotel is lovely, built into the side... More

Stayed at this hotel for two night. What an amazing hotel, so clean and our room was furnished beautifully, had river views and views on the beacons. The staff here were all so kind and friendly, was like home from home. We eat in the restaurant the first night, had sea bass and was so fresh. I would not hesitate... More

Having visited Brecon briefly on a number of occasions we decided to go there for three nights at very short notice The room - spacious, great view, comfortable and clean (an upgrade), the food superb. The menu was varied and thoughtful, the main courses and starters delicious, both fish and meat. All staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the... More
