Anyone making plans for a wedding should really consider this hotel as a venue. We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebration here and it was absolutely perfect. Jodie, the wedding planner was fantastic, she was calm, encouraging, supremely well organised which helped minimise the potential stress of arranging such a special event. We were given free reign and... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay and wedding held in the hotel. We were warmly welcomed at reception on arrival and quickly checked in with no fuss. The room was on the second floor via stairs, (be aware no lift) but this was no problem for us. The Friday evening was extremely busy as there were 2 separate functions... More

We enjoyed our stay at The Castle Hotel. We loved the fact that part of the hotel was actually the remains of the ancient castle. The room was spacious enough and the bed was king size and comfortable. The morning reception staff, bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal, apart from the dessert which was commercially... More

The location is good, overlooking the river, but we were placed in a 'superior' room, overlooking the car park, which has limited spaces. The room was comfortable, but tight on space. The strangest thing about the room was the bathroom, the windows were not frosted, so beware, close the curtains or blind unless you wish to illuminate the car park... More

Very nice hotel, clean and quiet... Lovely breakfast as well. Beautiful area but Brecon itself needs a lick of paint as parts seem very run down. The national park however is stunning and a perfect place for walks with amazing scenery.

We stay in Brecon and the immediate area once a year at different hotels. This hotel has by far the best site being very central and easy to find if you go round the Brecon by-pass and double back in if coming from the south. parking can be a problem particularly if you arrive when there is a function on... The Brecon Castle hotel was wonderful. It was a pleasure to stay in a 'castle' with lovely views as a back drop. The hotel definitely has atmosphere and character and that is all part of the appeal. The beer garden was spacious and the had a lovely time watching the sun go down. We enjoyed the restaurant very much and... More

We stayed here for my wife's birthday. We had booked a Superior room and glad we did as I am sure the standard rooms may not have been up to standard. It had lovely views of the the hills and river and a large bed that had been made up with 2 singles put together. The linen and bathroom were... More

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. From the reception desk to the restaurant staff and cleaning personnel; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed just one night, for the third time and had B&B. The bedroom was large and the bathroom spotless and well equipped with the usual soaps, shampoos and creams. The bed was very... More
