If Carlsberg did Christmas meals, they'd do them at the Castle! Fantastic food, drink and service - what more could you ask for. They were serving for over 150 people, but the quality remained impeccable, with the food arriving quickly and together. Roberto - you're the man, and your team were great. Thanks

Stayed at this hotel for two night. What an amazing hotel, so clean and our room was furnished beautifully, had river views and views on the beacons. The staff here were all so kind and friendly, was like home from home. We eat in the restaurant the first night, had sea bass and was so fresh. I would not hesitate... More

Having visited Brecon briefly on a number of occasions we decided to go there for three nights at very short notice The room - spacious, great view, comfortable and clean (an upgrade), the food superb. The menu was varied and thoughtful, the main courses and starters delicious, both fish and meat. All staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the... More

As a family we have eaten here on many occasions and the food had always been excellent, tasty, hot and well presented! The staff are helpful and polite and this food is reasonably priced, this is a lovely hotel, that has character in the heart of the Brecon Beacons! The Sunday lunch is also very good!

Went for Sunday lunch with family - large number of us, so had a room in the restaurant to ourselves. Lovely views through the patio doors and the food was excellent - generous portions and very reasonably priced for a two course lunch.

We booked the hotel restaurant for a group lunch. We belong to a Vintage Car Club and have regular group lunches and look for different venues. We chose the Castle of Brecon because it was within reach of a lot of our members. Indeed we booked for 24 members. We were greeted in a friendly and warm manner by all... More

We held a family afternoon function in the Ballroom for a diverse age group with celebratory drinks, with an accompanying bar, which was a tremendous success. The staff were extremely helpful in the pre-event planning making sure all aspects were covered and the main occasion was very well supported and all our wishes were honoured. The staff were delightful and... More

we have stayed at the castle many times, and always find it very friendly. rooms are clean and tidy, breakfast is a buffet, but very nice. The castle has parking and is right in the centre of brecon with beautiful view. the outside could do with a bit of clean up if i was being picky around the smoking area. Evening... More

Booked a superior double room which was spacious and well decorated. The whole hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful- especially on reception. The views are wonderful and I only wish we could have stayed longer! Only down side is that the carpets in the halls could do with updating.
