We stayed here with four friends for two nights. We were made most welcome and were very impressed with the accommodation. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had use of a huge lounge with television, books games and DVDs , with very comfy sofas. Breakfast was first class and cooked fresh to order. Would highly recommend this to anyone... More

We were so impressed with this beautiful house and gardens, Mike took extra time to show us around the self catering cottage also. Great breakfast, clean comfortable rooms, and added bonus, the beautiful lounge! We will be recommending....

Friendly and cosy large house in a small village in an excellent position to get around the Brecon Beacons. The village has several good pubs that serve good food and drink and all within a few paces. Plenty of parking within the walled garden. Shared the facilities across the hallway but all was good. Excellent choice for breakfast and plenty... More

Pleasant house but we should have been told that the digester system in our room means that there is loud noise in the room at times, incl. during the night! (it seems to happen whenever enough liquid collects in the sink or WC or in the pipes - and NOT only when flushing the WC, which we did not do... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Malt House for 3 nights. It is a beautiful house with quite quirky decor (some might say old fashioned!). The owner was polite and friendly and showed us around on arrival. We stayed in the attic room and, as others have written, the beams are extremely low! We are both fairly tall and... More

If you are looking for a quality value for money B&B in the Brecon area then look no further than the Malt House. I stayed in one of the attic rooms which I thought was superb, well equipped with a large comfortable bed. The house and its setting are equally outstanding as were the breakfast and the hosting. All in... More

We had a lovely weekend here. Mike the owner greeted us and was an excellent host. Our room (No.4) was clean, light and spacious with a very comfy bed. Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice, nicely served at a large table shared by all the guests which may not be to everyone's taste but we enjoyed it as we... More

What an amazing house, set in a fabulous location! We were very well looked after and our rooms quaintly appointed. I stayed in one of the roof rooms and it is a little cramped in the bathroom (actually that's an understatement, but it adds to the character!). I will stay here again!

We arrived and were greeted in a friendly and efficient manner by the owner's son-in-law, who was part of the holiday stand-in team. As he led us up towards the second floor we joked that the headroom was getting lower and lower. He then made the point that there was restricted height on the staircase and in the room. This... This is a very well appointed B and B with a fabulous garden by the river and a superb pool. It also has a comfortable guest lounge with a TV and the owner is very pleasant and helpful. However there were several issues as follows. I have stayed in many, many b and b's but this was the first time... More
