Spent 1 night at the Wellington in Brecon. We received a very warm welcome and the accommodation was clean, bedding clean but the room was just completely worn out. The door lock was poor, the floor angled downwards so we slept going down hill! We ate that evening and the food was very acceptable the staff tried really hard to... More

Stayed here to attend a wedding in nearby Peterstone Court. Staff are friendly, polite and welcoming. Bedrooms immaculate and have most basic facilities, although strange no iron and ironing board. Only negative is the water pressure of the shower. Food in bar / restaurant nice, as was the breakfast. A quirky hotel with some contemporary features.

Managed to get a room for last night last minute. Guy that served me was lovely, upgraded me to a kingsize bedroom which had an amazing bed, nice bathroom and nice tele. Rooms let quite a bit of noise in and the hotel was quite old fashioned but this is the common theme of hotels in Brecon. Breakfast was included,... More

I was visiting Brecon on business but as a consequence of my stay at the Wellington I felt that I had been on a memorable holiday. The building itself is full of old world character the staff could not be friendlier. The wine list; very good! The food; super! I hope to have reason to return again before too long.... More

Pro: I have to say that the staff at the hotel were friendly and polite. The breakfast was good and the service was quick and efficient. The price was really competitive and location couldn't have been better for a trip walking Pen Y Fan. Con: If I skip past the over-powering smell of kippers as we entered the hotel and... More

Have visited the Wellington a few times for food, so one night me and my partner decided to stay. We were not disappointed. The room we were in was a little tired but was suitable, the bed was extremely comfy. Before checking in we decided to have food in the bar! Nice menu and we saw they were still doing... More

We had a rushed visit to Wales and had booked in to the Wellington. It is a very old hotel with period features still in place, and the staff were brilliant, even either our very late arrival time. We were in room 23, which is at the big of the hotel. It was a bit of a walk up steep... More

The Wellington is located in the centre of the town and easy to access. The staff are to be commended for their helpfulness and provided great customer service. The good sized bar and restaurant downstairs was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. We would return and recommend to others, good value for money.

I stay here regular whenever I have a night out in Brecon. The food is good and the rooms are spotless. It's central to everything so it's perfect for a night out. The fact that the one guy that works behind the bar is gorgeous helps too 👌 I'd definitely give 5 stars just for his looks and service!
