From start to finish the welcome and service at Ty Helyg was first rate. Lee and John are wonderful hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. They were able to recommend places to eat and have a good knowledge of the area and where to walk. The room we stayed in was really spacious and comfortable, as other reviewers have... More

Myself and my wife have just got married so we fancied a few days in Brecon and going on some walks. The service we received was fantastic, one of the best fried breakfasts I've had in a long time. The rooms are clean (although the shower is very pokey) and the refurbishment that they have recently undertaken really makes it... More

From booking to checking out, the service we received at this guest house was brilliant. The owners are so friendly and helpful, Lee was always happy to offer any additional information we needed about the accommodation or area. The room we stayed in was very clean and had lovely furniture and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and there... More

From the moment we walked in we were aware that this was more that just another B &B. The attention to detail and of our requirements was of the top order and there seemed nothing that Lee would not do for us to ensure that our walking holiday over the Brecon Jazz festival was perfect. The absolutely legendary breakfast prepared... More

Stayed overnight at this B&B in Brecon. Lee & John Cox offer a very relaxed and warm welcome and my room was nicely decorated and well equipped. Lee was very helpful, suggesting places to eat. A nice touch is the honesty bar which has cold drinks and crisps. Breakfast was first rate. I would certainly stay here again.

Stayed here for the weekend and was so pleased we chose this accommodation. Beautiful building, immaculately presented with great hosts. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and a very high standard for a B & B. Crisp linen and huge bath sheets. Plenty of tea and coffee plus a flask of fresh milk when we arrived. Breakfast was superb. Ty Helyg is a recently refurbished guest house. spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and a warm friendly welcome. Positioned conveniently for Brecon town centre it is ideal for pubs and restaurants. On street parking which we found safe, only issue are the steep stairs which might prove a challenge for older guests. Great value and would definitely stay again.

Hi Hugh. Really nice review, thank you. As a Georgian building, the steps to the second floor do get steeper and we always try to accommodate guests on the first floor wherever we can. Regards Lee and John More
