The rooms were lovely, and the B&B owners Lee and John were fantastic. They were so helpful with advice about the area, food, and any questions we asked. The bedrooms and their en suites were furnished really nicely and are new; the breakfast were yummy too. I would be only too happy to stay at their B&B again. As there... More

We stayed here in December and had a great experience. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bed linen was crisp and fresh. The owners Lee and John are very friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of beverages in the room and a good selection and quality of food and drinks... More

I have just returned from a night at Ty Helyg that unfortunately was all to brief. A gorgeously furnished guest House run by a wonderfully friendly couple who couldn't do enough for us during our short stay. A very relaxed atmosphere coupled with the beautiful decor made for a lovely relaxing overnight stay. I can't wait to visit again -... More

very well furnished room with WIFI. Great selection for breakfast using local ingredients. Very friendly owners who are happy to give advice on local attractions and walking routes. Very comfortable bed and clean en suite facilities. Easy walking distance to the town centre and cathedral.

We had a three night break with our two terriers, Lee was most welcoming and the room was clean and tidy if not enormous, with dog friendly touches that made our two welcome too. Breakfast was super and Lee was very helpful pointing us in the direction of good food.Parking is a bit of a pain but not enough to... More

I stayed recently, meeting school friends for a golf day. Checking in to Ty Helyg was effortless with Lee personally showing you to your room. The rooms are lovely, bathrooms immaculate with all the necessary toiletries. Fresh milk in thermos flasks (not those daft dwarf mini cartons!) to go with the fresh ground coffee. Breakfast superb. I had the smoked... More

We stayed here for just one night on our way to start a canal holiday from nearby Llangynidr, and only picked it because it was so close to Morrisons supermarket to pick up supplies. What a lucky guess that was! There are several other guest houses on the same road, but we reckon we couldn't have done better. From the... More

Just stayed for 2 nights with friends, on a walking weekend. Everything about this guest house was excellent, particularly the very friendly, helpful service and attention to detail. I would definitely return and can strongly recommend Ty Helyg to others. The honesty bar was a nice touch, for a nightcap by the fire.

We had a simply wonderful overnight stay at Ty Helyg. Luxury room with all the goodies. Roaring log fire to come back to in the evening after eating out in town. Fantastic breakfast prepared with all locally sourced ingredients. Lee and John are excellent hosts and made us and our little dog completely welcome. We will certainly be back again... More
