Visited recently while on a family history trip. Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Hotel was clean but rooms need updating. Bed was comfortable. Food was nice. Beautiful garden and in a nice location in Marchwiel. It is 7 miles from Wrexham but I did not mind this. Visited Wrexham Church which is very impressive. Also Erdigg (National Trust) is... more

A former manor house converted into an hotel some time ago. Good location for exploring this beautiful area of North East Wales. Well run, clean and comfortable, with an award winning restaurant. more

My room was tired with an old bathroom reminiscent of the 1980s and a television most people would have long since consigned to a skip (it didn't even have a remote). Lack of tv channels, poor wi-fi signal, and an uncomfortable bed, plus it's around seven miles from Wrexham. There must be better available. more

This hotel is superb, the staff are always pleasant and helpful, the food is top class. I have no hesitation in recomending this hotel to family and friends. Well worth a visit even if you do not stay overnight the restaurant is excellent and value for money. Tom Middleton more

I was hoping that my stay at the Cross Lanes would be a foodie treat. I'd stayed in a nearby hotel for 7 nights but was tired of bought in food and wanted to go somewhere that was recommended for good food. It probably serves me right for booking through a website which gave me access to a room for... more

I choose this hotel as it was handy for Bangor on Dee races. When i & the other 3 members of my group arrived we were greeted in a friendly & professional manner and were very pleased with our rooms, especially me, i had room 16 which had a seperate little dressing room and overlooked the garden at the back.... more
