I travel a lot for business. I think that often the impression I take away about an entire place has been based on the cab driver who takes me (or the bus etc.) from the train to the place I'm staying...and the experience of the hotel or B&B. Based on my experience of the Belmont Hotel...I'd move to Wrexham ;)... More

Don't stay there...Room not even close to one on the website and when asked to switch was refused. Rude owner, outdated room, dirty floor, garbage and mattreses in coridor. The only good thing is free wifi and parking and close to centre. The hotel feels like ghost place with weird owner, picture of half naked youg boy on the wall,... More

I'm not sure that the reviewer that calls the Belmont the hotel from hell could have been staying in the same establishment. Have been working in Wrexham for two weeks and stopping here Mon - Fri. The rooms are pleasant, clean, warm and well appointed - if a little dated. Mine host, John, could not be more agreeable and makes... More

I am a 25 year old woman arrived at the hotel alone around 7:30pm after confirming my booking 3 days prior to find my room had already been taken. I was 80 miles from home and was attending a sporting event the next morning so needed accomodation desperatley. The manager, who was rude and short with me and my father... More

I don't even know where to start with this review as I've never stayed anywhere quite as odd as this! Firstly - although it's called the Belmont Hotel - its really not a hotel - its more of a B&B. Myself and my work colleague stayed here for 2 nights as we working in Wrexham and therefore the hotel was... More

The Belmont is looking dated and a bit threadbare it is crying for a bit of TLC. John is a nice enough chap but he is being let down by some of the staff who clean the rooms. With a bit more effort this place could be so much better. Bring it it up to date and watch it take... More

Got our daughter to book an hotel in advance for us glad she did found this beautiful Hotel to stay for one night very reasonable priced. John the owner was a delight to meet along with his dog Rufus. Bedroom was perfect and bed very comfortable, with plenty of tea or coffee in room. There is a bar at the... More
