Got our daughter to book an hotel in advance for us glad she did found this beautiful Hotel to stay for one night very reasonable priced. John the owner was a delight to meet along with his dog Rufus. Bedroom was perfect and bed very comfortable, with plenty of tea or coffee in room. There is a bar at the... More

Lovely old fashioned hotel , beds were comfortable , clean and all facilities available. Loved it much better than a chain hotel. The owner is personable and made sure we had everything we wanted. Breakfast when we wanted it. Very relaxed atmosphere . Would stay again . Garden at the back was a little haven and plenty of room to... More

I agree with the faulty towers bit, it is take it or leave it John doesn't mind, but so what... It's a nice quaint small old fashioned hotel but it's clean and tidy and cheap as chips. John is lovely and Mr Rufus the patterdale is just a gorgeous old boy. I much prefer this sort of place than a... More

This was not a value for money stay. The hotel owner seemed quite offish about our late arrival and in the morning did not seemed pleased when we ordered the cooked breakfast. Thankfully another staff member arrived when it was served who was much more pleasant. The hotel is very old and everything creaks. Old key locks for rooms -... More

I have stayed here on a number of occasions. The owner John is always helpful and is happy to provide advice or just have a chat. The hotel is full of local charm and the beds are comfortable. There is a bar at the hotel which is very reasonably priced. Wrexham town centre is a 10 minute walk away where... More

Hi all, My wife and I had booked a 1 night stay so that we could drop our sons bike off to him in Chester. We arrived early on purpose so that we could see him for an hour or so before we checked in at the agreed 3pm check-in time. We took our 24 year old son with us... More

Not the most modern place but comfortable and clean. Our room was vintage style and the whole place has lots of nice furniture. Great hospitality and made to feel very comfortable! We had a nice stay and would come back if we were in town again!

Although this is called a hotel, it's really a bed and breakfast. The proprietor is a friendly older man who always wears an apron (ready to cook something up on request). There is an old-timey gentlemen's lounge with a full bar, although you still get the feeling that you're in someone's living room. A full English breakfast was served free... More

We stayed here for 1 night at very short notice to settle our son into the local university where he had suddenly and unexpectedly secured a place. It was very conveniently placed for our needs and was "just the job" as they say!We were warmly welcomed and shown to a large twin bedded room, which was what we had requested. The beds...
