We booked based on the great reviews on Tripadvisor. When we arrived, we were greeted outside by the owner who informed us that he had just installed new white carpets and we would have to remove our shoes indoors. Not a great start. In our room, the TV didn't work and there was no space to unpack our things as... more

Afon Gwyn is probably the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious and very clean with great amenities and the breakfasts were wonderful too and could be eaten a lovely open style conservatory. The location was great for exploring snowdonia and Betws-y-Coed but you needed a car to go for evening meals in the centre of... more

Afon Gwyn is by far the best place I have ever stayed; the hosts Tim and Di couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. The standard of cleanliness and comfort in the en-suite rooms is second to none and the choice of breakfasts was much better than your average B&B, in fact it was better than the higher end... more

This was our second visit. We stayed in March and liked it so much we took our parents this time. The Afon is a fantastic B&B with great hosts. We have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and the Afon is just as good for breakfast as we have eaten anywhere, better than some. The surroundings... more

We've just spent the most fantastic weekend at Afon Gwyn. The B&B is set in beautiful grounds off a quiet road, and is kept to immaculate standards. Each of the rooms are uniquely designed by the owners themselves to the very highest standards with lovely soft furnishings and decor. Our room was luxurious yet very comfortable and homely at the... more

This was our third visit and wont be our last. It was like coming to our second home. Everything was as usual exceptional, Our room (The Alice Suite) The breakfasts and our friendly hosts. Tim and Di do this so well, they make it look easy as everything runs so smoothly, but we appreciate all the hard work they put... more

Lovely little extras in the rooms which make all the difference - selection of different teas, hot choc etc, even a corkscrew & stopper. Tim made us feel like old friends when I stayed with my 2 adult children for a walking weekend, booking us in to a local restaurant even though it was a very busy Saturday night. Will... more

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, and had a superb time. The B&B is a superbly renovated barn conversion, however you would think its been there for much longer. The decoration is to the highest quality, and the Rupert Room we were in was fantastic, and i understand further renovations are being done in the winter. The... more

I booked to stay at the Afon Gwyn as a surprise for my fiances birthday hoping for a lovely weekend, what can I say other than all of our expectations were surpassed! The owners were absolutely fantastic, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. They provided an ice bucket and champagne glasses so that we could enjoy... more

By far the best B&B we´ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail was impressive, the breakfasts delicious and the rooms beautifully decorated. We stayed in the White Room and really loved it. Will definitely be going back! more
