Having spent a number of stays at this hotel,it came as no surprise that when we stayed for the New Year celebrations they were not found lacking. The food is out of this world and the chef(Andrew) just keeps on providing exquiste meals. The staff both Gill, who as been there since we first started going around 10 years ago, supported by... An excellent base to be exploring the area and our 3 night stay (over the New Year) was not enough, as the area has much to offer. Apart from the beautiful countryside, there is the narrow gauge steam railway at Blaenau Ffestiniog, slate mines, Roman bridges (there are two), various castles. You can walk to Betws y Coed quite easily... More

Stayed here last year and as a rule don't like going back to places as they always disappoint, here however is that exception, beautiful setting, Martin at reception is a gem, always friendly and genuine, we had a different room that was gorgeous, warm and had stunning views over the river that went from sedate to wild due to the... A nice friendly hotel, where the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our room was very clean and very warm. A good selection of teas and coffee in the room and wifi was available after getting a passcode from reception. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was good, however our main could have been hotter... More

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday- he had initially booked room 7 (which was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the river) however, when he mentioned there was a room with a hot tub(room 2), I convinced him to go and see if we could upgrade! Martin could not have been more accommodating and switched our... More

Stayed for 2 nights in late October and as it was an anniversary treat we went for the room with the hot tub on the balcony. The location of the hotel is brilliant, close to Betws-Y-Coed and the main road, but set off on its own up the valley. It feels isolated despite its proximity to the A5. There was... More

As many other reviewers have already stated this is a hotel not to be missed if you coming to this area, perfectly situated for exploring Snowdonia and a wonderful setting on the river which is worth the price on its own. The breakfast is truly awesome, I only managed half a welsh breakfast each morning, but it is not the... More

This was our third visit of the year and we've been coming for over four years now. As always everything was first class from the friendly helpful staff, well appointed and spotless room to the excellent food with a breakfast that keeps you going all day. Wonderful location and we can't wait to come back next year.

Found this delightful Hotel on the internet and decided to have 2 nights stay in September 2014. Everything was wonderful from the attentive Staff, lovely room and grounds and the food was excellent. Home grown food the a well varied menu for evening and breakfast. The Welsh breakfast sounded excellent but I cannot face too much early morning so for... More
