My wife and I have recently got married abroad, but with the money we recived as gift,we decided to go away, for a honeymoon on our own. There was nothing good about this hotel from start to finish. When we walked through the corridors to our room we were greeted by a smell, which was a cross between urine and bad food, and there were stains... more

2nd Jan 2009. We have just returned from spending new year at "The Swallow Falls Hotel" We paid £12.00 for a buffett of sandwiches, chicken legs frozen quiche and chopped egg vol-au-vents. The disco we had was a young 15-16yr old playing cd's. We were told this was family orientated so the hoards of children running around the place were... more

We stayed in one of the rooms featured on the website. The only good thing about the room was that it was clean. There was a saniflow type of waste disposal in the bathroom which was deafening there were bits and pieces either broken or missing The room was in desparate need of a refurb and this theme was continued... more

We found the hotel no problems, directly oppposite swallow falls, well signposted. Lovely building on the main road with ample parking. Car park was pay and display but as hotel guests it was free. Booked in at reception a little frostier than expected, very reserved! On a positive they take pets, as a negative they don't disclose the £5 pet... more

My husband was taking part in a marathon and we needed to stay near Llanberis. We found this hotel in a brochure and booked over the phone. HOTEL The hotel is in a very picturesque area and was easy to find and right on the A5. Checking in was easy and we were directed to our room - which was... more

We stayed at Swallow Falls last week - what a difference a year makes. Having been there last year during the extensive refurbishment they were undertaking, we were slightly apprehensive, but as the location was ideal and after checking that all their work was finished we decided to give it another chance. I am so pleased we did! It was... more

The worst hotel I've ever been too.!! The rooms are very noisy and very uncomfortable. The staff at the reception is not very organised and they completely messed up our bookings. Inspite of having confirmed our bookings the previous night, when we arrived there, we were told that they did not have accomodation for us for the last night. As... more

Swallow Falls Hotel is quite simply one of the worst places to stay in Betws-Y-Coed if not Wales in general. I stayed there for two nights in July and had a thoroughly awful experience. The rooms are noisy, dismal and uncomfortable. The staff were largely unhelpful and met each request with an exhausted sigh and rolled eyeballs and the food... more

This used to be a family experiance, not any more, children are no longer encoraged, in favour of drunken squadies and adults who wish only to drink copious amounts of alchol. Will no longer freqent the site more
