I first stayed at Henllys in June 2003 and have returned every summer since. Gill and Mark are wonderful, welcoming hosts. They provide you with all the local knowledge you need to have a wonderful time in Snowdonia. Mark can give you advice on just about any activity rain or shine and there are plenty of books on walks if... more

Took a short break in Snowdonia and stayed overnight in Betws-y-Coed at the Henllys Courthouse. Couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. Mark and Gillian were extremely welcoming and chatty, giving us all the information we needed on where to eat in the town and nice walks of different lengths. The room was very clean and well presented... more

Our stay was for three nights from June 4th 2009 We know the area well and visit Betws every year staying at B&Bs or hotels. At The Courthouse we liked: - The welcome from Gillian who was also the duty baggage handler. A service which is not often offered in B&Bs or,indeed, many starred hotels. She then served us tea... more

My daughter, cousin, husband and I spent two days at Henllys (the Courthouse). We were greeted by Gillian and Mark the moment we arrived. Once we settled in, we were served coffee and tea with lovely gingerbread cookies. Gillian and Mark recommended restaurants and made reservations for us. The bed and breakfast is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious... more

We stayed at the Courthouse for four nights. A very welcoming Gillian and then Mark greeted us on our arrival, followed almost immediately by information and advice for the locality; including a strong suggestion to very quickly go back out for some sight-seeing as the perfectly blue sky and balmy weather typically doesn’t last for too long!! Mark is enthusiastic... more

The Courthouse is set in a street away from the main high street hussle and bussle so therefore very peaceful on the river. Breakfast is taken in the conseveratory which... more

We stayed here for 5 nights this April. We were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived by Mark and Gil who gave us tea and cookies and all the information we could ask for. They asked about our interests and provided ideas for many things to do and see in the area. They were the perfect hosts, friendly... more

We had a fantastic stay at Henllys (The Courthouse). The room was roomy by UK standards with a shower that I could actually move around in without hitting my head and elbows. (I am 6'3" tall and about 200 lbs and usually have to contort my body into very tiny shower stalls in the UK) The best part of the... more

Henllys has it all. The place is 2 minutes from town so you get all the amenities but because it is down a side street, you also get loads of peace and quiet. The River Conwy runs through the beautiful back garden. A lovely setting for afternoon tea. Our room was spotless and comfortable, overlooking the river and the fields... more
