We found Ty Gwyn on our first trip to the UK 30 years ago and were enchanted! We went home and got a canopy bed for our bedroom as a result. We are back for a 30-year celebration, and we are being spoiled by the owner and staff. My husband was ill for a day while we were there and... More

My partner, stepson and I stayed here one Saturday night and what a beautiful place. It is a lovely quirky old building with the most beautiful of bedrooms. The decor is fantastically quaint, lots of knick knacks in nooks and cranny ' s. Our bed was gorgeously comfy and we slept very well. We had a great tradition Welsh breakfast... More

As you would expect, due to the age of the property, small rooms but the added en suite bathroom was far too small you had to virtually step in the shower to get round the door to use the loo. The shower was tiny if you are on the large side it would be very uncomfortable and impractical. The TV... More

We stayed 2 nights - ate at the restaurant on both nights. Food is fantastic. Must try - the steaks and the pate. Rooms facing the road will not suit late risers - the traffic is audible, regular and comes on early. Hotel is located at the edge of the village - a nice stroll away.

This was the second time we had visited and stayed at Ty Gwyn. This time it was for NYE. We stayed in Room 1 both times - lovely exposed stone and although it has a separate bathroom we had no issues. The meal on NYE was a 6 course extravaganza! Each course was absolute beautiful. The service was great and... More

Stayed for two nights and would stay again but rooms on the front of the hotel are very noisy from the nearby busy road! The staff were friendly and nothing was a problem! The breakfast and even meals were absolutely delightful! Wifi was a bit iffy
