My boyfriend and I had decided to go to the coast for the weekend and decided we would find somewhere to stay once we got there with a few places in mind. However, we were delayed on the way and passing through Betws-Y-Coed, we saw The Waterloo and popped in to see if they had any rooms. We ended up... more

I came across this hotel with the intention of staying one night but stayed four nights because of the amenities and modern bathroom and bedrooms. A major plus was the swimming pool and stream room. Like to say many thanks to the barman for suppling the info about the biking and walking in the area....Cheers!! more

Stayed here 28-30dec for a few days of hiking. Got a cheap rate via laterooms.com of 55/night but with breakfast that went up to £68. Do not pay anything more then this as its not worth it. The room was a typical motel style with cars to doors which means you hear everyone else drive up, park right outside your... more

We stayed at this lovely hotel on Saturday the 8th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Working in the tourism industry, we tend to notice the small things and the attention to detail. The welcome we were given was friendly, professional and very relaxed. All our enquiries were dealt with promptly and courteously by the receptionist on duty that evening. The... more

Situated on the edge of Betws-y-Coed, on the main road, 10 mins from the centre. We had a lodge room at the back so very very quiet. Bar has just been refurbed and is all comfy cushions, furnishings, slate and soft lighting. Very warm rooms so if you got soaked walking your stuff would dry. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Leisure... more

We stayed at the Waterloo last weekend and we had a great time. It was our second visit and has undergone refurbishment since last year, we had a deluxe lodge and it was really lovely, we took our 16 month old Grandson with us and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, we ate in the... more

Although the Hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment, my stay, as usual was extremely enjoyable. All our requirements were met promptly and enthusiastically and a special mention must go to the Front of House Manager, Maggie, who is a true professional and a real asset to this Hotel. Will definitely be staying there again. Lovely Hotel, beautiful surroundings and excellent staff.... more

Stayed at the Waterloo Hotel last week. We were very impressed by the quality of the rooms (we appeared to have been upgraded from standard to superior rooms). The room featured a lounge area with a comfortable sofa (which appeared to be a sofa bed). Most room are based in chalet-style blocks set apart from the main building. This means... more

Phoned the hotel before booking to see if they catered for Vegan diets. They confirmed they did. A few options on the menu & enquired if they could do others. Really helpful staff said "they were sure they could & would find out" She came back with an extensive list & arranged a typed one even for the next day!... more

This hotel is well placed to visit the attractions of Snowdonia. The hotel itself is very well managed and has superb staff always ready to go that little bit further to give good service. I recently took a group of 40 people there and all greatly enjoyed their stay with none having any complaints. Well that's not entirely true as... more
