Although the bar area is still bit old fashioned the restaurant has been recently refitted but most importantly the food is terrific - good combination of local produce with French flair and great with kids as you can have a proper meal and still let the kids have (home made) nuggets and chips! There are plenty of places in Betws... more

My husband booked this hotel for 2 nights as a suprise for my birthday. Hotel was lovely and clean. The popularity of the hotel was evident when we couldn't eat there on either night! The restaurant was fully booked and there were no spare seats in the bar area to have bar food. Worth booking a table for the restaurant... more

We stayed in the hotel for initially 1 night, which turned to 2 then 3. This hotel was welcoming from the start. The food smelt excellent as we walked in. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and even had 2 arm chairs and a table by the window to watch the river & world roll by. The owners were marvellous... more

My husband and myself recently stayed at this hotel for 1 night as a birthday treat. The hotel was slightly dated but very clean and comfortable. Parking is a big problem as it can only accomodate about 3 cars, although there is a car park just across the road for people visiting the area. However what made this hotel such... more

We stayed here for a long weekend (4 nights) with our almost 3 yr old and the real appeal of this hotel is how friendly the owners are. They were so lovely to our daughter making her her own little pot of hot chocolate at breakfast and not batting an eye lid when she was loud or grumpy. The hotel... more

We were in Wales for the Dragon Rally 2009 and couldn't actually get to stay at the Pont Y Pair because it was booked by the early birds who had been there previously but never the less it was the centre point for all the weekend gatherings of the 7th & 8th Feb 2009. The hotel is run by a... more

A friend and I were staying near Betws-y-Coed for a couple of nights doing some walking and we popped in here for a late lunch. It was so good we went back for dinner that evening and another post-walk late lunch the following day. All the food was excellent, nothing disappointed. They also serve well-kept real ales and reasonably priced... more

The food and the company come highly recommended. Excellent home cooking and an imaginative menu with very reasonable prices. I would recommend the "mixed grill" £10.50 sausage, egg, gammon, steak very large lamb chop, mushrooms and tomato, large plate of chips and hot crusty bread. EXCELLENT VALUE!!!!! Very tasty too. more

Have eaten here on a few occasions and am always satisfied with the food, service and price, Without doubt the best place to eat in Betws y Coed if not North Wales, especially for the prices. Highly recommended!! more
