Firstly the hotel is in a beautiful part of Wales and ideal for walkers taking on the challenges of snowdonia. The hotel is clean and the staff are very pleasant, though sometimes I felt a little invisible to them when they were talking in welsh. But it is their language and I think I felt a little ignorant that I...

Went for the weekend as an Anniversery getaway. First thingwe noticed was the scented candles burning everywhere to get rid of the mell of damp. Check in was quick and efficient and we were given a room on the 1st floor. One double bed one single. Cheap quality beds and furniture fittings. Large pine "box" wardrobe with no shelving, ceval...

We spent two nights in July 2011, and found it welcoming and comfortable. The bathroom had been newly refitted and was very presentable. The room was cosily furnished and we slept particularly well - a combination of a comfy bed and the mountain air, I think! We had a room only deal so didn't try the breakfast. We ate in...

We stayed one night and had a nice smallish room which appeared to have recently been done up, including the 'shower' bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we were not disturbed by noise. The cooked breakfast was good, as was the evening meal in the smart Grill room, the duck was very tasty. The residents bar was old and tired...

Beddgelert is a great location and the hotel has an excellent location within the village. The hotel's decor is dated and shabby but it is comfortable. The service was erratic. Some staff went out of their way to be helpful, others were keener on doing what they were doing than on helping a guest. The hotel says that it has...

Previous reviews led us to visit for sunday lunch. What we were served was really poor - roast beef was almost impossible to cut, yorkshire puddings were thick and stodgy, small quantity of poorly cooked vegetables. Will not return.
6 of us stayed in this hotel after completing the Three Peaks Challenge. We were tired, wet and very hungry. It is very easy to find, and looks like a nice hotel. On arrival we were checked in quite quickly. We had to change our dinner booking and the staff were very helpful. Rooms are quaint and clean. Bathroom looked...

This was a nice hotel, with very good staff. Our room was standard for a 3*, but the walls were paper thin and this meant that it was easy to be disturbed by TVs and doors closing elsewhere on the floor. Also, the water pipes were incredibly noisy at times during the night, and we were woken on both nights...
