My husband and I stayed in a bungalow overlooking some amazing views. We highly recommend New Quay in Cardigan Bay - its around a 45 min drive, but it's well worth it. Its one of only two places in the UK where bottle nosed dolphins reside, and we were lucky enough to see them - amazing. Even if you don't... more

Ok, I don't usually write two reviews about the same place but having just spent a great week at Bungalow No. 1 I thought I would give you an update with a bit more detail! The refurb is totally finished now, including a fantastic reclining suite, double glazing and patio area. The kitchen has all mod cons and the owners... more

We spent a week including New Year recently at Plas Talgarth and loved every minute. Some of the previous reviews had left us wondering about certain aspects, but we were not disappointed by too much. We were in the Heron apartments with lovely views down the valley and to the distant hills. I can understand some of the comments about... more

My family & I have to be staying at Plas Talgrath for the past 25 years (Week 41). Some things change and some things don't. For Example: 1) The Leisure Manager 'Steve' (2007-2008) is the most unwelcoming member staff, he is rude and moody. He would be best in a non facing member of the public job. 2) The leisure... more

we have been staying at plas talgarth on and off for 25 years if it wasnt for the sensational location we wouldnt consider returning, the standard of housekeeping is frankly disgusting, each time we visit we, like many others complain, but nothing improves, the accomodation is filthy throughout plus there is damp and mould throughout. the accomodation is some 5years... more

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful week in Plas Talgarth where we did what we set out to do - chill out! We visited lovely Portmeirion and absolutely fell in love with Aberdovery. When we were joined at the weekend by our young grandson, we went to the Glaslyn Valley to see the Ospreys and caught... more

We were in the area for a family function and got a great deal on an apartment for 2 nights. We arrived at 3pm, but couldn't get into the apartment until after 5.30. This is normal, as it is a resort and the houskeepers have to completely turn around the site, which isn't as simple as changing a bed and... more

I stayed at Plas Talgarth last weekend as my nephew held his wedding reception there. My sister had booked a couple of chalets (as I thought), but from the outside they just looked like flats. We trampled up the concrete steps and were faced with just an ordinary looking front door. However, I was not prepared for the luxury accomodation... more

We bought our niece here for a week's stay. The weather was terrible, which didn't help. We were disappointed by the misleading description of the property and did not have enough space for the three of us. We stayed in the main house and halfway through the week, they lifted up all the carpets and just left exposed gripper rods.... more

Having recently stayed at Plas Talgarth I was very disappointed with this 'resort'.. and the lack of customer service skills from staff upon making several complaints.... After viewing Macdonald resorts website which shows beautiful photos of accomodation, upon arrival I could not believe the standard of furnishing in the apartments it was like a 1970's bedsit.. The furniture was dirty, and... more
