Owner very accommodating about our arrival and departure time. We were staying I the family room which is a great layout if travelling with kids.Had planned a continental breakfast due to our early departure but when it was delayed gave us a cooked breakfast.

You are likely to find a free parking space within a few yards of the front door of this very hospitable B&B and at most times of the day, the affable proprietor will be around to welcome you most warmly to his railway themed accommodation. Rooms are of various sizes sleeping up to three people. The usual facilities for making... More

Thank you for your positive comments. A fair reflection of my establishment. I always ensure that there is parking outside the premises and is in a safe area. Have a lovely Christmas. More

We stayed ahead of a morning ferry to Ireland - arrived very late due to traffic - the owner stayed up to meet us. Room was cosy, clean, and great value for money. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, even catering for our coeliac daughter. The owner was friendly, and made our short stay a pleasure.

Stayed at Wavecrest for 1 night as a late arrival off the ferry! Carl the proprietor promptly responded by email to let me know all the relevant details for my stay there after my booking online and followed up with a phone call just to make sure that everything was clear regarding my room and breakfast arrangements including asking if... Thank you for such kind comments and glad you enjoyed the breakfast. Hope you had a nice stay in Snowdonia. I have no objection to late arrivals providing some direct contact is established. Either by e- mail or telephone. I am glad this worked easily for you with minimal disruption. Following on from the recent negative review,I tried to telephone... More

If you like being berated for ringing the bell to be let in after letting your innkeeper know you will be arriving late on the Holyhead ferry; only to be t old the key is under the flower pot and he sent you three emails which you never received until after you stayed there, then this is the place for... When you made the booking you advised that arriving between 2300-2400.No mention of Ferry. Yes that is before midnight. I sent you 3 e-mails (one immediatly after booking) to confirm arrangements in case you were any later.I waited up until late and then left out keys for you.. It should be courteous to arrange directly with the owner if arriving... More

Thanks for the lovely comments.Glad I responded late as I have noticed the negative review that follows. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and the room was the same one as the negative review! Extremely shabby, ridiculously small room and probably the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. Wouldn't have minded so much if I'd been charged the true value of the room (around £30 to £40). Only good point was the close proximity to the port.

Sorry if that was not up to your high standard. I do try and make it as comfortable as possible for all Guests. Although the en-suite bathroom is small,it is fine for most Guests and have few complaints on this issue. An on-line booking (large commission payable to business)in the peak season at this busy Ferry port will be of... More

Had difficulty in finding a room which would fit a couple with 3 children. Although not intended to stay in Holyhead this was the only room around unless we paid for 2 rooms. This suitad me fine and for one night was good value. Bonus of having a partition for kids section and 2 televisions. Great sea view and the... More

I like to see that the large family room is popular with many and is normally booked up,well in advance. We do receive the odd negative comment due to restriction on size of WC and shower location. To increase size of private facilities would decrease capacity General opinion is not to change it. Cannot please everyone! More
