We stayed one night as we're getting the ferry to Ireland and really enjoyed our stay. The couple who own it were so friendly and helpful, and the the room was great....clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed and more. Breakfast was delicious and a great selection and its a 10 minute walk to the train station and... More

Mel and Pearl run a lovely, friendly B&B. We were greeted with an offer for a cup of tea. It has all the charm you would expect, along with great breakfasts that Mel cooks to order. It is an easy walk from the train station and ferry terminal. Our room was small, but fully equipped and comfortable. We wish we... More

I stayed at Holyhead Lodge when I came to do a Coastal Trail Run. The owners of the B&B were absolutely lovely! They drove me to the start site of the race and then back to the train station (although it's a very short walk from the train station). The breakfast was very nice as well and prepared just the... I had the pleasure of staying at the Holyhead Lodge for the night recently while visiting Anglesey Race track. With me being part of a race team on a very tight budget, I am fairly used to crashing at some budget hotels around the UK. The lodge fitted our tight budget for accommodation and included breakfast too. On arrival (which... More

This is a lovely little B&B close to the port for the trip to Dublin. Despite having a son ill in hospital, Mel made us welcome, and catered to our every need, including a delicious breakfast. We're reviewing here because we had a long trip and missed the time limit for Booking.com reviews. We had booked a taxi for the... More

We slept overnight at the lodge before catching the Irish ferry to Dublin. It was clean, compact, comfortable and cosy with all amenities. Pearl and Mel gave us a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast prior to our departure. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when next visiting Ireland.

We were stranded in Holyhead after a late train made us miss our ferry to Dublin. We found Holyhead Lodge and were delighted by Mel and Pearl's warm welcome. Like coming to a friend or relative's house more than a b&b. Here are the highlights: private, cozy, comfortable room - lovely beds with cozy bedding nice touches like tea and... More

We stayed with Pearl & Mel last week. They couldn't be more accommodating. Upon arrival, they made us cups of tea and helped show us the area. Along with running us to a local supermarket for supplies. We've never had such a warm welcome from anywhere we have stayed before. The room was lovely and well thought out. They respected... More
