We arrived in appalling weather and found ourselves faced with a near vertical drive. We had not asked for a ground floor room as we didn't know they were available and found the stairs very steep.Breakfast was very good and Sylvia could not have been more helpful, helped with our luggage etc.It is very near the Ferry terminal so convenient for... I stayed at the Rockleigh for 3 nights as I was visiting relations nearby. Sylvia is very nice and friendly and attentive to your wishes. I do not eat a big breakfast but if I did her breakfast options were wonderful. I would fully recommend staying at the Rockleigh when visiting Holyhead.

My first time staying here and it is wonderful so very clean and fresh, Sylvia is very helpful and friendly, It has fantastic easy access to the port and the town centre. This B&B is clearly signposted from when you leave the main road the rooms have TVs and Fridges tea and coffee making facilities. ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS! Thanks very much.

We have stayed here so often I can't remember how many visits we have made to Rockleigh. As always Sylvia pandered to our every need. Breakfast was very tasty as usual, the beds comfy and the room lovely and clean. Nothing is too much trouble for this landlady. Shame the weather wasn't as good as it had been for weeks... More

This is a great B&B with an easy walk, less than five minute walk of the ferry terminal. Very comfortable and the breakfast was great too - sausage was tasty. Handy if you are getting the ferry early.

Basing ourselves at Rockleigh for a long weekend break. From there we could easily access everything: ferries to Ireland, public transport to the rest of Angelsey and North Wales as well as walks along the famous breakwater in Holyhead and coastal walks to South Stack lighthouse. Rockliegh itself is warm and comfortable with more than enough to eat at breakfast... More

A belated review but as usual had a great stay with Sylvia. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She must be the best "landlady" in North Wales. The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable and the full cooked welsh breakfasts are so filling. Looking forward to any future visits.

After a long wander around the UK... the best accomodation ever!!! I have travelled more or less all around the UK looking for a job. In September 2013 I went to Holyhead to have an interview and when arrived there I decided to spend a couple of night in the Rockleigh B&B... a good decision. After tree night I decided... More

Booked through very friendly lady in tourist board in Mumbles who said it would be handy and it is so handy you could manage to get to ferry without a car. House has a beautiful back garden and our room at the back was very quiet. We slept very well - so well we slept in and nearly missed breakfast... More

Rockleigh is located immediately next to the loading area for ferries to Ireland and to the Holyhead railway station. You can see the gable of the house standing at the entry and looking across the wide expanse of tarmac used by busses, trucks, and cars heading for the ferry (see attached photo). To get there, you walk away from the... More
