Been visiting the Britannia Inn for over 30 years. The present owners Tony and Anne have been there many years. The Brit has everything. It is situated in the most beautiful location with a lovely view across the valley. Anne and her staff are always lovely, friendly and welcoming. The meals have never been anything less than excellent. Serving a... More

Very comfortable, clean and tidy establishment. The name suggests it's an Inn and yes it sure lives up to it's name, very old and quant complete with sloping squeaking floorboards, lovely. The breakfast was to die for enough on the plate to feed two, good quality and unbelievably hot. The hostess/owner Ann/Anne was the 'perfect' host/ess thank you from the... More

The staff as ever were welcoming and attentive. The food was served promptly despite being busy. Only negative was the beer battered cod turned out to be a 'pressed' angular shaped frozen product. A pint of soda water for the driver was charged as £0-80 times 3 which came to £ 2-40!

We have just returned from an impromptu visit to the Brit and as usual we were not disappointed, great food and service excellent - we would recommend to friends and will return. We had the curry and a steak and both were excellent. A good varied menu with a good dessert menu too.

Stayed one night DBB ,hotel was very well presented, sparkly clean and warm, just the job for a rainy December night. From first to last the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The menu would I think have something to please everyone, you certainley won't be hungry when you have eaten-applies equally to the breakfast. Our room,no.4,was quite spacious, with a large en-suite bathroom.The... More

Stayed one night only, together with a married couple of friends in another room, so I saw the detail of a couple of rooms and saw two others from their open doorways. Decor is perfectly ok, if a bit dated - kind of late 1970s style of design with much softwood furniture highlighted. The rooms are on the other hand... More
