I have to agree with all the previously positive comments about this b and b. John seemed to be able to anticipate the needs of his visitors. As with others we were welcomed into the guest lounge with tea and biscuits. Our bags had been taken to our rooms and John even offered to sort out our soggy boots. (we... More

Though we have stayed in Llangollen many times, this the first time we have had the pleasure of staying at Glasgym. John welcomed us when we arrived, and kindly carried our bags to our room, he then set tray up in the lounge with tea and biscuits, which was a really nice touch. Glasgym is in a perfect location with... More

John and Heather welcomed us warmly. John met us at the door and insisted on carrying my bag up the stairs; he immediately made us feel at home with his relaxed and friendly manner. Lovely extras: free daily bottles of water, extra toiletries and a birthday card waiting on the bed, as it was my husband's birthday that day. Spacious... More

My 3rd visit to this B&B, & its still great. The property oozes character & enjoyed another lovely stay under the owners John & Heather. Nothing is too much trouble & their breakfasts are simply devine. For any prospective single occupant bookings you may be given a room with a fine (and very large) original bath, at a price that... We stayed here for two nights in the spacious king sized bedroom. We had a very warm welcome from John on arrival and were very pleased with the first impression of the property and it's location. The stay did not disappoint with the highlight being the delicious breakfasts cooked to order by John and Heather. The extra touches such as... More

We stayed here having been given the trip as a gift by a friend who had stayed here before. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by John and soon after Heather who kindly brought us afternoon tea with a lovely slice of cake. Very much needed after our two hour drive. The guest lounge is comfortable and full of books... More

Beautifully decorated room which made me want to go and look at all the others to compare. Really nice touches such as sewing kit, shampoo and conditioner, face wash etc to use in the room. I could have stayed just in the B&B for a weekend enjoying the view, eating the lovely food and reading the large collection of books... More

I stayed with John and Heather in early January. Their welcome was very friendly and they provided me with an excellent meal despite my arrival on a rather bleak, wet and windy night being an hour later than planned..... They have a great house and I had a very comfortable bed, so slept very well. Breakfast was good too. They... More

Glasgwm is an old house full of old furniture, which would delight anyone interested in antiques. It's a rambling house, and the ground floor seems to have one room giving way to another, over and over. I had a single room, which came with a fine cast-iron bath, instead of a shower, so I settled down for a long soak!... More

Walking Offa's Dyke I stayed in Glasgwm one night. A top quality value for money B&B in a central location which is unique in décor, with quite 'extravagant' furnishing, but very homely and cosy. A lovely cup of tea and cake on arrival and watching the chilled white cat, I almost fell asleep before I got to my room! The... More
