It is easy to see why this is 5 star. The decor and furnishings are beautiful and tasteful, the breakfast is lovely and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Also it is the little extras (amongst others, welsh cakes in the room each day, toiletries) that made this stay so wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Spent a few days canoeing the Llangollen canal and stayed at Cornerstones. For us a superb location in a quite splended guesthouse/B&B.We took opportunity to veiw all rooms, all well furnished and quite different.Breakfasts were nicely prepared and served with a variety of choice.Well situated in the town backing onto the River Dee but in a reasonably quiet side street.Would certainly... This guesthouse met our expections and beyond. Carol was friendly and efficient and everything was 1st class. The decor is beautiful and luxurious, in an ideal location. I cannot think of anything Carol could do to have made our stay better. Would love to return.

We had a lovely stay with friendly owners, the log fire in the lounge and dining room which gives the whole place a cosy feel; certainly nice after a whole day out. One highlight is the bathroom, which has amazing views and overlooks the river with victorian style bath. I would recommend others to visit Cornerstones guesthouse and hope they... More

I found this great little Guesthouse and am so happy I did. We stayed in the RedLion front room which was beautifully furnished, they really had thought of everything. The bed was comfy and super big. They had kindly de-feathered the place for my allergic husband. The lady that ran the place was lovely, very hospitable and breakfast was delicious... More

Ever effort has been made by the owner's to make your visit perfect. All the accommodation is exceptional. We stayed in the room referred to as Big Bathroom (for very obvious reason) it provided every element we could think of, toiletries, disposable razor, plentiful towels, lavish bedding, welsh cakes and biscs on the tea tray. Pleasant breakfast cooked to order.... More

Stayed in the Red Lion river view room for two nights in January for my husband's birthday, following a recommendation from a friend. Warm welcome from Carol on arrival, who even brought us an ice bucket as the wine chiller in the room (!) wasn't fully chilled. The room (red lion river view) was amazing - the bathroom was a... We stayed in the suite and it was beautiful! The views from the room were breathtaking and the secret garden was like something from a children's novel. The place was spotless and breakfast was devine. Service was with a smile. Would definitely come back.
