Wish we'd read some of the reviews about the Chain Bridge before we went. We asked Legacy Hotels, who we booked through, for a river view room. Hotel in need of major refit. Decor very dated. Stairways cluttered with "fresh sheets". Entire place smelt old & musty. Staff efficient but not very helpful or happy. High prices for low standard accomodation. more

This is a great location, between the River Dee and the Llangollen canal. Across the the river, you can see the Llangollen steam railway trains passing over a viaduct. ....We called in for a bar meal on our way to Llangollen Eisteddfod. The Hotel itself is very dated and in need of a complete makeover . Food was not up to standard!!!!
