I've just spent a short two night break at Ty'n y Wern and can highly recommend it. Mike is extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The room (I was in room 10) had delightful views and was very comfortable. The food was excellent too. It's only a short distance from Llangollen so is ideally placed. Highly recommended.

I decided to accompany a friend to llangollen for the wedding of a friend, and we chose to stay in tyn'n'wern (despite not knowing how to say it!) because of the good value and the close proximity to the center of this small welsh town. I arrived there expecting to be ushered to a budget style room and left to... More

Just got home from a two night break at the Ty'n y wern. Lovely hotel run by a very hospitable couple. We only ate breakfast there and that was very nice. The only thing we found disappointing was that we had a side room so our view was a hedge. The view in the front rooms I am sure is... More

The service was very good. Food very good. We were a party of 11 and all served at the same time by a pleasant gentleman. We were all pleased with our dining out experience. Our club eats out on a monthly basis and we were all agreed that we would like to return to this venue and the view is... More

Mark and Julie instantly made us feel at home. We stayed with them for several days at the end of a long trip. This visit provided us with the opportunity to wind down and get ready for our long trip home. The owners and their staff were unobtrusive but always helpful, available and friendly. The ambiance was perfect. The views... More

Stayed one night on business trip what a fantastic place, the hosts Mark and Julie really welcoming the room was really clean and the food was fantastic. I have stayed in a few hotels in the area and this one beats them hands down. For a lady travelling alone I felt safe and relaxed even sitting in the bar area.... More

Decided to go here for a meal with all the family. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and asked if we would like to sit on the decking veranda to have our drinks before we ate. Chose our meals and when they were ready he led us inside to our table overlooking the valley. The food was very nice,... More
