We spent a weekend at Bryn Howel. The setting is beautiful - right next to the canal which offers good walks - and only just over a mile to the amazing aqueduct. If you read the reviews you will see they are mixed. It would seem that some rooms have not been upgraded. We booked a "deal" and got one... More

Stayed in room on 2nd floor, the view was fantastic and room lovely and warm with plenty of hot water, As you came from the 1st floor to the staircase for the 2nd it was a lot colder. The lady on reception were lovely and very friendly and another lady seemed to be working the bar and restaurant alone but... More

With a potentially magnificent location and a wonderful heritage, my family chose Bryn Howell as a halfway house between various branches of the in-laws for a significant birthday milestone. Happy memories of previous meals from the senior members were another factor in... More

Room was nice but the bath and shower facilities was below standard for this hotel I have been 5 times to this hotel and I feel its becoming tired and in need of some TLC. Food was good but now has lost its wow factor, staff were friendly and polite but it is obvious this hotel is under new ownership... More

I've been to this hotel a lot of times as the annual Llangollen Bridge Congress is held here but this is the first time I've stayed here. I was disappointed! Let's start with the good points. The setting is stunning. Llangollen is beautiful and the hotel is set next to the canal deep in the valley. You can go for... More

Peaceful, lovely location, great clean room and fantastic food. The decor is a little dated but that didn't spoil our stay. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was self service with a Hugh selection. I asked for poached eggs and they obliged without question. Dinner had a good selection of choices for each course and... More
