My wife and I had inially booked this lovely hotel only for one night but after arriving,we just loved it so much that we managed to extend it for further two nights. We stayed from Thursday till Sunday and it was all worthwhile. The room was nice and clean and fairly big with all the facilities. There was tea/coffee making facility and a... My wife and I stopped for one night on the way down to South Wales. The location is almost perfect in the countryside next to the canal. Rooms are okay but the corridor did smell a tad musty and the room smelt as if fly spray had recently been used - there were 2 flies spinning about on the windowsill... More

Stayed here one night with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. We were placed in the annexe and enjoyed our own private flat, complete with lounge, big telly, access to a small kitchen, and a pleasant bedroom. Décor a little old fashioned, but our host couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, and cooked us a lovely breakfast the following... More

We had a wedding reception at the Bryn Howel in early August 2014. It is an ideal spot that fulfilled all our requirements - enough rooms for all the guests, a well stocked bar, great grounds to have photos (including down by the canal), super food, a stunning location... We could go on. Lorraine and her team were efficient, competent... More

My wife spent the evening here on business so this is her review. Ok I'll start with the pro's.. Great location, picturesque with amazing views. The staff, all very friendly and couldn't do enough for the guests. The food, this was a little hit and miss. The dinner experience was great. Food was hot and well cooked if a little... More

We weren't staying in Llangollen, just visiting for the day, and chose to have lunch at the Bryn Howell Hotel. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices. All served with great efficiency and friendliness by Ian. It was a real treat and we will definitely be back for another visit in the... More

My wife and I together with friends have been visiting this Hotel for over ten years. The fact that we continue to regard this as one of our favourite hotels says it all. From the moment you enter the reception area the service you receive from the staff confirms that they are pleased to see you again. We have stayed... More

I can't understand the excellent reviews for this hotel. It is in desperate need of a refurbishment. The grounds and location are stunning but the hotel itself lets it down. There's a distinct musty smell the second you enter reception which extends to the bedrooms. The hotel was freezing cold. Especially the bedrooms - blankets on the bed in August.... More
