My wife and I have just stayed as guests of Jane and Mike for the third time. Ten years after getting married, this was the honeymoon we never had. First was ten years ago, 2nd time 2 years ago, and just got back home yesterday. If we did not like the place, we wouldn't keep going back. The scenery is... More

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst working in the area and wanted to take our 6 month old pup with us. The accommodation was immaculate and yet managed to maintain a homely feel. We were warmly welcomed (all 3 of us including the pup). Its a beautiful house with a breakfast room overlooking the valley with the canal below.... More

We had a great stay at Bryn Merion last night and an excellent time in Llangollen. The owners are super friendly and we chatted for hours about life, travel and Wales. Comfortable rooms, hot water, great breakfast, friendly dog and great owners - what else do you want? We will be returning and would happily stay here again. An easy... More

Enchanting house, excellent en suite room and large rooms and firm beds. Warm welcome and excellent coffee to greet us and theres a viranda to view the lovely position overlooking canal and vale, close enough to the town but far enough not to hear it. Actually you wouldn't know there was a canal as its cut higher up the hill... More

We stayed here back in October 2011 and stayed for 1 night as we were travelling to somewhere else in Wales and wanted to split the journey up. We were glad we only stayed 1 night. Despite being advertised as being pet friendly, the general atmosphere felt quite unwelcoming towards our dogs in comparison to other pet friendly places we... More

Now that I have had time to calm down I decided to look through the other reviews submitted by the complainant.I find it strange that Bryn Meirion finds itself in the middle of a list of hotels in Hong Kong all written in September. The complainants visited Bryn Meirion in October 2011 but have waited 11 months to write this spurious... Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Bryn Meirion. Owners Jane and Mike were great hosts and very happy to give advice and to chat. The B&B itself is a wonderful old building with lots of character and fantasic pictures of sheep dotted about. Llangollen is beautiful and lively for such a small village. Would definately return if ever... More

Back down to Llangollen again at the weekend for another session of Gorge Walking. And again stayed at Bryn Merion B + B. Greeted as we arrived with tea and biscuits, consumed on the patio in the sunshine whilst taking in the fantastic views. Now with even more to see due to the removal of a few very large trees.... Bryn Merion is located about a mile from the centre of Llangollen in the Dee Valley and the hotel is surrounded by woods with lovely views over the Dee Valley which includes the river, canal and steam railway. It has sufficient parking space for all guests. Booking was done via eMail and Jane was very responsive and flexible, even recommending... More

My wife and stopped for 2 nights with our little Jack Russell. We were made to feel very welcome by Jan and Mike. The room was really nice with lovely views of the surroundin countryside. Breakfast was very nice served in a conservatory overlooking the garden and canal. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.
